I put some mp3 files into my phone and cannot make them my ringtone because they are under the "My Sounds" folder, so how do you make it go into the "My Ringtones" folder and i also don't have the internet plan yet so can't make it go to my v cast.

i tried texting myself but it said message delivery failed. I tried everything, i guess i have no choice but to stay with my ringtones that came with my dare? i can blue tooth the music but i cant seem to move it to the my ringtones section...![]()
Ummmm. Judging by your profile info, you are trying to do this with a Dare that is rigged to work on Metro PCS? Sounds like your MMS doesn't work. Just load your ringers and such with Bitpim.
lol how do you that? Sorry but thanks for the info, i'm a noooob lol
Drag the desired ringtone into My Sounds folder on your SD Card. Then send a picture msg to yourself with the sound in it, then when u get the message, and press save as ringtone
dammit, picture messaging doesn't work! You guys think there is a way if use the usb?
Wow. You don't read much, do ya? I'm all for helping people who are having trouble, but for crying out loud, at least try first and then ask for help if you have problems. I've been talking about Bitpim since you asked, because MMS probably won't work on your metro-flashed phone. Bitpim communicates by means of a data cable (usb) or bluetooth. Download it, read the manual, then ask for help if you are still stuck.Originally Posted by watsmyname23

ok. i think you got the idea now.
i just downloaded the software and bitpim cannot detect my phone through the USB. Under the list of phones i had to click on Lg Dare but it also auto clicked on verizon wireless, maybe thats the problem? Whatever, thanks for the help anyways
did you install the drivers for your phone? (windows only)
How do you install the drivers?
Thanks
when u send it to yourself, it shrinks the file and the sound quality is horrible, does anyone know of another way
go here and download the drivers, it doesnt matter if your on metro its the same drivers

after you install the correct drivers try running bitpim again
