flashtotalk.com - worth it or just another compilation of warez
Has anyone tried this before? I am just wondering if it's another compilation of illegal software (like qpst, qxdm etc for free) or if it's an actual stand alone software.
I know of a few dealers around here that have this. They are pretty satisfied with it. However, I will say this again as I have said it in other posts. What these people are charging you for is the research. If you research on google, howard forums, mobile-files.com, etc., you will get the info you need. Your best bet is to help people out when they need it and hope they are as kind when you need it. It has worked for me in the past couple of months.
I got started by simply organizing all of my files so I know exactly where to go when a particular phone comes in to be flashed. People like Cricketme.com, flashtotalk, unlocktotalk, etc. will say they offer support but by the time they actually respond to you, you probably could have found it on your own.
NO ITS NOT WORTH IT
This has all be discussed before.

amo,
How can I flash this brunette ***** to a sexy blonde with long legs?
---amoamare---
Pull her shirt over her head. Thats step 1,
this initlizes the flash!
After this you simply have to use blonde_dye_1.dll this gets rid of the bugs and the ***** control thats built inside.
After that step you simply get a bumper case around the feet.
to extend the look of the legs
thats how apple does it
and thats how we do it !
but flashtotalk is not selling you the software. just cable all there programming is done via remote login and carge a set price to dealers.again they dont sell software i have a few dealers are around me that use them and they are happy all the do is plug the phone in and 5 to 10 min later it is done. kinda like houdini if you know who they are. that is the same as flashtotalk
I think that FlashToTalk is a legitimate business. They sell flashing services to/through mobile phone stores.
However, they failed badly with my phone. I have a Sprint Palm Treo 755p, which my local Cricket store flashed using FlashToTalk's service. Supposedly, it should be able to do both EVDO (3G) and 1xRTT (slow) web browsing.
I can talk and text just fine. But web browsing is worse than useless. The signal indicator says that it has EVDO available, but when it tries to load the page it waits a long time and then fails. After a minute or two, the signal indicator switches to 1xRTT, and then the page sometimes loads (about half the time). Then, when I click on a link, the whole process repeats: it tries EVDO, eventually fails, falls back to 1xRTT, and then (a couple of minutes after I clicked the link) there's a 50% chance that the page will actually load.
After putting up with this for a while, I went back to the dealer, and left 'em my phone for a couple of hours. FlashToTalk apparently tried again, but there was no improvement.
Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied with FlashToTalk's service.

In regards to your email.... i must say that flash to talk services are worth it..(to me as a dealer that is)
and i've had great support from flash to talk techs who went the extra mile... all in all it works ..
BTW... regarding your edvdo/1x prob.... check the prl you have.... you may need a differenet one???
Ok im a Store owner and did sign up for this service and i was excited that i was going to be able to offer flashing and unlocking service but came to find out when it comes to metropcs i was going to have to go to a metropcs store and have them flash talk and text to the phone before i was able to use FTT software, which cost $40 from Metro PCS and an additional $20 from FTT. thats $60 cost!!! how am i suppose to leave my store? and what kind of money will i make? if i charge $80 i only make $20 and i had to go thru a hassle to get it. So i told them to keep the money i paid for credits and to cancel my account. who in their right mind would pay $80 for a flash? Its only good for Cricket... Boost and Metro PCS loses out
