The one year service free looks like an interesting deal., but it says something about maintaining a cash balance in order to talk. Do they give you service for free and not give a cash balance to do anythng or do they give you a $90 blance?

What they mean I think, that instead of topping up 20 dollars to keep service every 90 days or $90 to keep service activated for a year, if you buy the slash wildcard or shuttle you don't have to worry in topping up 20 dolars every 90 days.

Nothing on VM's site says one way or the other. I would think that even if you are already a customer and you buy any of the three listed that you should get the year expiration.
