Yes. You're always charged a text message if you read an e-mail, no matter what data plan you have.Originally Posted by ea_txny

Something like that, but of course nothing if you haven't gone over your plan's free text message allotment.
i don't know if anyone's already noticed this but when you have a missed call, the external display DOES indicate it. the screen's very faint but if you hold it at an angle, you can read it.

Another question, do they charge if you use the GPS feature? Or do you need a data plan to use it...?
You can use the GPS antenna free of charge without data plan but all the available GPS navigation or mapping programs available require you to have data.
Maybe I am behind the times, but last night I discovered the TM506 does a great job playing youtube videos. any other streaming video sites that work?
i'm still searching but thought i'd ask in the meantime. is there a way for me to download trackid from somewhere and will it work on this phone? maybe shazam id? i really miss using the feature.
actually, i should be more specific. i found trackid but it doesn't have the option to record the sound clip, it only allows me to select a drive.

I didn't see this posted anywhere yet so I thought I'd mention it. The TM506 will run the Samsung A900 (Yes, a Sprint phone) version of Yahoo Go. Since Yahoo won't let you download it on an unsupported phone, you've gotta get it from getjar and select the A900 as your phone.
So if you have a Yahoo e-mail account or used Yahoo Go on your previous phone, you don't have to wait for Yahoo's blessing.![]()
How so? I don't really know how to work this phone to its full extent and I want to learn.Originally Posted by sashaohio
I feel kind of dumb asking, but what are flash themes? =\Originally Posted by bachviet

I just picked one of the other SE phones listed and it worked fine (version 2.x). Do you get a different version or something when selecting the A900?Originally Posted by gotanmp3
My TM506 works great for an expensive HSPDA phone! I like the Shortcuts,Call Recording and multitasking. Browser is OK too. GPS is a bit flakey but fun. I get good tether speeds with BT. I'm still waiting on my USB data/charge cable. I just wish I could get my T-Mobile Dash to access it's data but that's another matter.
