    Nokia 5610 Picture Numbering

I'm really having a lot of trouble figuring out the best way to save pictures from my Nokia 5610 to my computer.

I'd like to just connect the phone as a usb data storage device and use Windows XP Scanner and Camera Wizard to copy the pictures into a single directory.

There are a few problems I'm having with this.

It's real annoying how this phone numbers the photos. First photo is 0, 2nd is 1, but then if I delete phone 0, the 3rd photo gets 0 and my pictures are out of order.

Is there any way around that?

Then, if I want to download all the pictures I ever take into one single folder, filenames have repeated old filenames and they'll overwrite pictures already on my computer.

    Any ideas?

well... for the data storage portion go to setting>connectivity>USB Data Cable> and then Data Storage... or Musci Sync.. on of them will let you use it as a drive and let windows copy the pictures... the other one i'm not sure, but if you go to mem card of the phone, and then pictures or i think the camera setting... it lets you change the way the phone save the picture file names... see if that helps at all??

No, the only thing that I see that's a way to change filenames is I can change the name part, not the numbering system. For example, I can make it say picture001, instead of image001, but it still numbers by filling in the missing numbers that were previously removed from the phone. That's just a dumb way of doing it, I think.
