Its what we needed man!
Good - Over joyed!
Bad - it Sucks!
Don't Know Just yet?
There is a Driver that works for the CDMA
(20050804143823625_CDMA_Driver) This was the file name but was trying to find that link to it again. When I do I will add the link here.
LINK:-> http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/co...DMA_Driver.exe
The MicroSD has a max 2gig. The MicroSC card has to be in the phone and formatted to works with the USB hookup. If asked for the new hardware just cancel out and open Exsplore and goto the drive letter thats new or download that CDMA driver I named above.
Get the MicroSD in and have the phone format your card. When its done just pull out that MicroSD and plug it into your computer and put the files "INTO" the files as they are named.
Files:
My_Images
My_Music
My_Ringtones
My_Sounds
The phone games are BREW.
(have no other info on the brew games yet)

hey, well i heard that this configuration should be the same for an instinct as anyone tried it?
The information that I see about the "LOCK CODE" is that you can call Samsung and they will give you the code.
Samsung Mon-Fri 7am to 9pm Central time
1-888-987-4357
Pull your numbers under the battery they will ask you for one of them.
NOTE:
If this is a Metro PCS, they have the right not to give this number out.
As they say, and you should know this:
The Network Lock code is propriety to the Service Provider and can be released only by their approval (if attempting to unlock the handset for use with another Service Provider, it will require contacting the Service Provider for the NCK (Network Control Key) code).
Thats BS as I paid full price for my phone without help from the provider. Its the only way you can get this phone.

Any success on linking the phone to the computer? ie filesystem access? I've downloaded the cdma driver and it comes up cdma modem. I cannot use bitpim or wammu on windows or linux to connect to it fails. I have the settings set to usb. I am using the qualcomm qpst program to access the phone but unfortunaltly it needs a 6 digit spc code. it isn't 000000, 123456, or 587846. So I tried using a calulator to get my spc code, but they require an 11 digit esn dec code, whilst my r450m is has only a 10 digit dec esn. The Samsung pc studio cannot connect to the phone either. I can attempt to make data calls on it as a modem, but that's about all I can do. I really want inside this phone. (I cannot use bluetooth as a link currently). Please help.
That is strange. I have also tried many things but no luck. That number is the one metro pcs uses for there phones. It maybe a cricket clone or newer or older. My phone is less then 90 days old. I also listed all the stuff thats part of that locked area. Will keep working to find all there is to know.
I got mine a week or two after it came out in August. My MEID DEC is an 18 digit string, my MEID hex is 14 digits. I believe the spc code I need is the same one that allows the service programming, that goes beyond the basic MetroPCS access, which this code is undoubtably the unlock code. QPST honors this maximum security access to the filesystem as well as anything else(flashing, backup, sms, etc). And when I use BitPim it freezes. When I use Wammu is says "Error: Your phone asks for a pin". I heard that bitpim could access the filesystem in a non-administrator mode on a R450. Nothing works on Windows or Linux. The phone as a modem comes, up, I can make data calls from the tethering guide, but I can't get -inside- it.
So maybe there's someone out there who'd be interested in making a calculator for the spc code considering the length of my meid values. Or maybe I'm blantantly over-looking something?
I have this problem also..i have tried everything to get into the phone directories. Nothing seams to work.
I found a converter that is able to convert the MEID number into the 11digit ESN (dec) that you need to get your SPC. I was able to get into the phones directory using QPST but honestly i have no idea what to do in here. I was wondering if anyone had knowledge on the subject. I want to be able to add Apps or anything that will make me enjoy the phone more.
Please, please link the converter. Once I am able to get into the phone I'll find out for myself what kind of things can be done. ( I myself am mostly interested in the filesystem access) And I'll post anything useful here.
On another note, I wonder it's possible to install the j2me runtime on a brew based phone... just an idea..
I have listed whats in the phone and at what points you need passwords. The list above show what you can do just as it show in the phone. Most of it is settings that you check.

2 ??
3 ??
I figured it out. I need to convert my 18 digit meid to a psuedo esn. And then I put it in the calculator. Now I can use it with QPST. It's completely unlocked now I am happy. If anyone else needs help getting their r450 spc I will post how I did it, was pretty simple, but I guess I let my anticipation fly over my head.
Can you post anything that can be done in the file system. Im new to Samsung phones, most times ive had Motorola phones and i enjoyed they customization abilities. But i really like this phone and im eager to know any tricks that i can do in there. Please post your findings.
If you could take the time to lay it out so everyone can get that information that would be cool.![]()

---Update: 9/26/08---
You can exit this mode by going back to the
