The easiest way to remove everything from your phone is to go to "Settings Menu>Memory Info". Then go into "My Images...etc and delete the items 1 by 1. The other way is if you have the usb cord for the phone. You will also need QPST and also know your phones SPC.

It says I have about 54mb total and I'm only using 1.13mb. Shouldn't that be enough?

That should be more than enough.

Then why doesn't it allow me to add more music without freezing?

I deleted all of my apps because they're useless. I'll see if there's anything else I can do about it. If you figure something out, post it here. Thanks.

It could also be the phones themselves just because one works a certain way doesn't necessary mean they all will. You may have a different version of the firmware or even a different brand of SD Card. Technology is fun...

Hello all, thanks for the info from this thread. I just got a Cricket SCH-R450 as well as a USB Data Cable (Model USBM300). Here's my issue- I want to mess with the phone with the data cable, possibly using a tethered internet connection as described on a few posts in this forum.

My issue is that for whatever reason, the PC doesn't detect any device plugged in. The phone does charge via USB, but its not detected as anything. I primarily use Linux, which will list info about usb via dmesg, lsusb, and logs. Nothing appears. I also booted into windows as a test, it also doesn't detect anything (it should at least detect a device that has no driver). I did test and install some drivers found on this forum anyhow, but of course no luck.

There is one menu option related to this- "PC Connection" which lets me choose either USB Mass storage (I do not yet have a micro SD card) or "No Connection". My assumption is that it doesn't list anything because I don't have a memory card.

Has anyone here successfully used this phone (for Cricket) and have it appear as a device other than a mass storage device to futz with it with bitpim or any other software?

You'll need a SD card..(2gig or 4gig) and the USB will see it. You also have to format that card before you can upload pics and mp3s to it.

    Inside the Sansung r450
The hackers manual has that information in it..
You can download it off my forum pages FREE..

Withouth sd not much you can do with it. Its something Cricket or metro should have gave a small sd card so it would work..

Right, I have one in the mail on the way. However, having an SD card installed doesn't make the camera show up as anything else, does it? Such as the being able to see it as something other than a memory card (to attempt to get working with bitpim or otherwise?) I guess I'll find out in a few days when my Micro SD arrives.

The camera will still take photos and it will save them to your phones memory. Once you have the SD you'll have to move the photos you took to the SD card inorder to download them. I never could get the usb to see the phones in memory photos.

This sounds more like spam then asking for help?

Nice that you can hook your phone to your car but thats not the topic in this area. Also you shouldn't post your email address unless your spamming...
