I think exact hiring processes are up to the operators of each MiniStore. Saskatchewan has a bit of a labour shortage at the moment, so we might be a bit lower then some other places. While I'm certainly not sure what exactly is required here, it seems like it's something like:
Good interview
Grade 12/GED
Good interview
Clean police record
A bit of a technology or customer service background
Good interview
Your best bet is to ask the people at the MiniStore you're thinking of applying at what sort of background and qualifications they have. We're nice people, and we like to help. Nor do we bite (often :P)
I'm only 16 years old...
What do you mean by GRADE 12 / GED ?
I think here in Quebec city it's not like that.
Probably not the same at all. Basically, I was refering to being done secondary school (which, here, is finishing grade 12, or getting your GED (graduate equivelent degree?)). To be honest, I can't see why you'd really need that, tho - it's not a hugely demanding job. If you've got the interest and such to be here on HoFo, you're probably in good shape as far as qualifications go. As I said, tho, I believe hiring policies are determied locally by the operator of the kiosk, and not nationally by VMC, so it could be radically different there.
I can't see age being an issue, as long as you are old enough to be legally employed and are otherwise a suitable employee. Again, tho, probably determined locally, so YMMV.
FYI, I think there's usually just one operator per city (or maybe even larger area?).
