I know I don't post much anymore but if you need someone else to confirm the 9th launch date I can. Also all VZW corporate stores will open 1 hour earlier for the entire week so those who are planning on getting in line, go earlier .

Just wanted to give an update. The Storm is now set to launch in stores on the 15th & BestBuy on the 16th. The Corporate stores will still be opening 1 hour early for the first week. Still cannot find any info on price. Also here is a screen shot of all the accessories and sku's that will be available for the Storm at launch. The cradle will NOT be included in the box. Also the firmware is not final which is what caused the delay.

yea I didnt think they'd be able to fit the cradle in it or miss out on capitalizing on selling it as an accessory... wishful thinking, lol

Ok which one of these is the Verizon Storm 2? My guess is neither of them, if so what should we expect. I know, we don't even have Storm yet but just curious.

I was at Woodfield Mall and stopped at the Verizon store there. I couldn't confirm anything other than a release of "Mid November" and the rep said they won't make the release date announcement until Nov.1 (which made me skeptical as that is a Saturday)

Despite all of that, the bigger news was the rep informing me that they will be opening early on launch day and that RIM will have a whole "launch celebration" setup in the Mall promoting it and even a drawing to win a few free Storms.

Crucial or VZWE...is there any way you can at least confirm whether or not RIM has this planned at Woodfield Mall?

Woodfield Mall is largest in at least the Midwest if not the US...it is in the Burbs of Chicago

LOL. For those of you that don't know, which should be most people here. Woodfield mall is in the Chicago suburb of Shaumburg, Illinois.

The Storm looks pretty sweet, I like the charger it has. The prongs snap out and have about 5 interchangable ones so when you are traveling to other countries you dont have to worry about not being able to use the outlets.

Oh boy the suspense is too much already. My palm treo 700w is dying a really slow and painful death. I don't know if it will survive till the release of this phone .
