Can't you give it a rest? I had to quote the entire section to put the sentence in boldface in the proper context. Would it have been clear if I quoted only this sentence?Originally Posted by b0stonirishguy
Use of iPhone to access corporate email, company intranet sites, and/or other business applications requires an Enterprise Data Plan for iPhone.

Why don't you go back and count the times you have pasted this or something similar?Originally Posted by b0stonirishguy

I must be missing something here. Don't you just get the globe screen and a message telling you to connect to iTunes for activation after a restore? How are you getting past that after doing a restore?Originally Posted by jlczl
I'm half-tempted to try it myself just to verify, but I don't want to rock the boat since I've had my phone working properly on the cheap data for a few months and don't want to have to mess with re-adding/re-dropping the $30 data if it turns out that you do need the proper data plan in order to get the phone working again.

No problem. Enjoy. Glad that I could be here to help (unlike a few others).Originally Posted by i0wnj00
So, I've just started getting the scare-messages from AT&T regarding the ineligible data plans. I've read through most of the 40 pages and not a single person has confirmed that AT&T has charged them more or shut them down. Are we all in agreement? This IS just AT&T bullying their customers to pay for for nothing extra? I've been a cingluar/AT&T customer since 1995.... I pay them over $80/month to use my iPhone and they want more?!? I had a 2g and a friend gave me her 3g when she upgraded to 3gs. I've disabled the 3g and have never once used it. So there is NO difference at all from what I had to what I now have based solely on at&t's service. I have a newer iPhone, I have more Gb's- but the service I use from AT&T is no different, so why should I (or any of us who rely on Edge or wifi) pay more? *example* when I had a landline, my telephone had the capability to have a 2nd line. I could also press a series of numbers and dial an international number. BUT if I have a top of the line phone with all the bells and whistles, but CHOOSE not to use them, I don't get charged for all that stuff.
We should all be angry at AT&T for their price gouging, corporate greed, and terrible service. I hope ther will one day be a class-action lawsuit for the scams they pull. I'm calling at&t's bluff. Go ahead and change my plan. I dare you AT&T to cut off my service. I've been giving you $80/month since 1995.... I've dropped you for my landline service already. Wanna lose me again as a wireless customer, too? Knock it off with the 4:30am txt msgs about how my data plan is ineligible!
To all of you posting about this topic. I thank you all so much for the information. And please PLEASE post when & if AT&t ever start charging you, change your plans, or block you until you pay more. I would loooooooove to know about it.
what is the best way to remove the data plan from the iphone, any other option beside calling CS and telling them to remove it...?
Getting a job at AT&T and doing it yourself. I'm afraid there is no other way, aside from calling CS.Originally Posted by chak_dey

You can't =(Originally Posted by b0stonirishguy

You used to be able to that but they have closed that loophole long time ago. Currently, you must call CS to remove the iphone and put on another non-iphone IMEI to the line to get the $15 plan.Originally Posted by b0stonirishguy

No extra charges, no forced switch. This is since November 2008.Originally Posted by ipodlover77
