I like the look of the interface. I'm not happy with Roadsync's and MfE doesn't do subfolders so looking for an alternative...but no love so far fm Nokia Messaging
Are you trying to connect thru network or is it WiFi?

    Hi Davis,

thanks for the update. Why not simply go back to the way it was done previously? I suspect that it tried SSL and then fell back to non-SSL. It was working previously... for my part, the outgoing SMTP connect for SSL uses a different domain as my hosting domain! That will surely cause a massive amount of 'customized' list for you if we go with the survey approach..

    Cheers,
    Stephane.

There are 2 apps installed, one is called simply "Email", if you go in there, it asks for the Access Point.

I can't seem to get my account on email.

I am at the setup screen and is asking me for my email, I put it in and it says that it cannot get the email settings, I tried it many times but it is still not working.

Any help would be great! :]

Well, I SECOND this statement - BIG time! I use a hosted email provider (MailTrust) and it is fully IMAP enabled (works on the built-in client just fine), but the Nokia Service "can't find the server" whenever I try to add it! This is very frustrating, because if I had a spot to enter the Inbound and Outbound servers, I would be up and running! VERY frustrating, as the new Client for Nokia email is very slick and I would VERY much like to consolidate!!!

    MAN!!

mickliq - I see "Email" and "E-mail setup". The first one opens up the app as normal and there is no access point options. What version are you using?

I'm on Product version 2.2, build 9.4.0.21 (main)

Has anyone tried syncing their AOL mail on Nokia Messaging? I had it working fine before, it still pushes e-mail to my inbox, however I have a problem sending email out. Every time I try to send an e-mail from an AOL e-mail, I get a "failed delivery status notification" saying something about a "puzzle must be completed before the email can be sent". I'm assuming this is similar to a "captcha" that might have to be filled in, in order for the mail to get sent. Is there anyway around this?

Thanks t68usa, I did that but it seems that it keeps giving me the same problem.
I am guessing that this problem is only on my end, which is really starting to get on my nerves.

Mine doesn't ask for the access point...it will only sync when I'm at home and irritatingly it does so even when the Email app is shut down! I have no idea how that keeps happening. I turn the stupid app off and next thing I know a wifi connection is active again! WTF? I guess I should uninstall and reinstall? I've searched everywhere and can't figure out how to change the connection and when I'm not at home it just won't sync.

Well I uninstalled and reinstalled. I even took the advice of t68usa/idfx and set up some folders to sync via the Nokia Email site. The install and set up went fine. This time I did it via TMobile's EDGE network. I'm syncing fine now only I still can't figure out how to change the connection. Please tell me there is a way to change the connection and that EDGE isn't going to remain active all the time. I just can't stand it when S60 notifies me it places the connection on hold everytime I place a call and then that the EDGE connection is active again when I hang up. That is going to be a deal breaker for me.

I've installed Profimail at this point. I know it's not free and Nokia Messaging is probably prettier, but I just can't keep wasting my time trying to get it to work. In Profimail you enter all your settings into the client and I was up and running in 5 minutes.

The saddest part in all of this is if it takes them almost a week to 'fix' something that used to work, how reliable will be the application? Remember, they have plans to charge fo the system...

They still haven't figured out how to fix the SSL 500 error yet it was working great when it was beta!

I have very little confidence in this application. Sounds very 'mobileme' to me

    Cheers,
    Stephane.
