have you tried MyPhoneExplorer ??
If I didn't know better I'd say it's your C run time library !

So I run both XP and Vista on my machine, I first thought it was Vista but right now the Sony Ericsson software crashes on startup on both my Vista and XP installation. I have the latest version of the software Online and it doesn't help.
The error always says CAPI_WORK or something when it crashes. I thought this was a Vista only thing as this software never did work right on vista, but then i installed a brand new XP partition and it gives me the same error.
Does anyone have any ideas on this? Or if not, how else can I backup my contacts and everything? This was happening for a while but I never cared because I always used a card reader and just plugged my card directly in to load music and ringtones and such, never used the software for this since it was clunky and much slower to copy music. Now I need it however to get all the #'s.

I reject your reality and substitute my own.
MyPhone Explorer works awesome, thanksOriginally Posted by glorfingal
I have to agree. SE PC suite Fubared one of my Vaio's so bad i ended up reinstalling the OS. I switched to MyPhoneExplorer a year ago and haven't looked back. BTW Windows Media Player handles music on the W810 better than SE PC suite ever did.
