Stolen Dash-which phone to replace it?

My Dash was stolen yesterday and I need to replace it. I'm in a cash bind right now and need the cheapest thing I can get. I've found used Dashes for $130-$150 on eBay and craigslist, but I'm not sure that's the way to go. I need the phone to do the following.

    1. email
    2. sync contacts with Outlook
    3. password program that syncs with computer.

I'm not in a position to extend my contract or change services, so a discount from T-Mobile doesn't seem possible. Any suggestions?

So far I haven't found a better phone than the Dash. It might not have 3G or GPS but it is the perfect device considering the size and shape.

    Cool

It's very difficult to beat the value, versatility, and connectivity of the Dash, especially without a new contract or an expensive price tag. Even though it doesn't have many of the newer advanced features it's still my favorite value Windows Mobile Smartphone.

I use a SE TM506 for BT or USB 3G HSDPA computer tethering and the Dash with EDGE on the road. At home the TM506 is connected to a WIFI router and the the Dash uses WIFI/HSDPA.

If you liked the Dash, don't do what I did and 'upgrade' to a Wing. You hate the size of it and the slide out keyboard.

I definitely recommend against the Wing. Dash is a far better phone.

I had to have a phone with my contacts and email, so I got a Shadow. So far I like it fine if I can get used to not having a full keyboard. It came with a standard battery and high capacity battery that lasts about as long as the Dash standard battery.

The going price of a used Dash around Atlanta, GA is $130-$150. The Shadow was $49 with a 2 year contract (which I didn't want) and has enough memory so I didn't need another micro SD card. The Dash is $99 with a contract.

I have the 2 week buyer's remorse so if I don't like it, I can always pay the extra $50 for a Dash. Meanwhile, I can continue to look for a better price on a used Dash and cancel the contract.

i have a dash which is unlocked, pretty heavily used (my little sister sends about 600 texts a day, so imagine)... currently running winmo 6.1 in spanish (it has english too) but it can be reverted to the original t-mobile dash if needed.

if you need it, i can sell it to you cheap.

as for your original question... i like the wing better. i defenetly hate the shadow performance. and the dash is pretty stable.. to replace it is quite hard.

I did that too...boy was that a mistake. The Wing is one of HTC's worst phones. Looks cool but underneath..ouch. Needs a cooked rom to even be useable.

Stolen Dash replacement update-fixed my old one!

While checking out the Shadow during my 14 day buyer's remorse period, I got out my old water-damaged Dash (that I replaced with the one that was stolen), took it apart, and cleaned everything inside. I put my sim card in it and cranked it up. It works! Well, sort of. When you put the battery in, it boots itself, and when you shut it off, it restarts. Still, when it's running, everything works fine. I broke one of the clips that snap it together and have a tiny gap on one side, but a silicone case should cover that.

I'm taking the Shadow back. If this Dash craps out in 2 weeks, I haven't lost anything. I'll just get another one with the 2 year contract.
