    MMS Attachments

So I got a picture message via text from a friend but when I click on it I can't save the file. Have any of you figured out how to do this yet?

touch and hold the attachment? It doesnt pop anything up, and if you press menu the only options it gives you is delete, forward, reply, reply all, and mark as unread.

Have you done this before? or are you just assuming neok? thanks for trying to help...really appreciate it

Yeah really pressing and holding does nothing, I can't get to any forwarding option. I can't save attachments that come over via text message.

Derek was right, long pressing near the name did allow me to get the forwarding option. However once I email the attachment to myself I can't open the file. All that was displayed were a bunch of question marks. Kind of looks like the files are not supported which is funny considering that the picture that I was trying to pull down is a JPEG.

By chance is the person sending to you from MetroPCS? I can't get any pictures even if they email it to my gmail account. I have to go to a pc, open gmail, save the pictures to my computer, and send myself a GMAIL with them as attachments (didnt have data cable).

Damn! I was hoping it was just me. This is crucial because I'm asking people to send me pictures so that I can use there pictures for calls.

Yea, so my wife tried this yesterday and can't save pictures sent to her in MMS.

She had to forward it to her gmail, but on the g1, only saw a bunch of questionmarks.

So, she had to go onto a pc and log into gmail, save the picture locally, then compose a new message. Add the pic as an attachment and send it to herself via gmail.

Then when she viewed her gmail on the G1, she could save the attachment.

    What a hassle!!!

I don't own a G1, but if that's the case with MMS, then that's just unacceptable. Even on WM, which most people complain about it being too complicated, it's a simple soft button click, view contents, and save as.
