Seem to have lost the ability to find a satellite at all now. So Im trying to download the att nav specific for the i907 and it doenst find it. Just a quick blink. Anyone have success with this? if so did you download the setup cab?
I never used ATT Navigator, but I do use GoogleEarth and other GPS Aware software.
There is a app in the Windows Folder called GPSTest.exe.
Have you tried this? It should let you know if your GPS is functioning or not.
The GetATTNav.exe App is in the windows folder too. Is that what you are looking for?
NOTE: the GetATTNav.exe App seems to be problematic with Opera.
If you browse to http://att.telenav.com/nav with Pocket Internet Explorer on your phone it should send you the right one:
How do I slide them to the end? There doesn't seem to be any way to customize this at all..
Plus, my icons at the bottom are still half cut off..
Download that app mentioned for font customization on post #594. It is sweet.
My backup XML linked in post #593 can be loaded up with that app and the buttons display perfectly. Just copy the file into the \program files\M2DC folder and use the app to restore the backup.
How do you guys snag those screenshots (like CeluGeek has posted) from the epix?
If you have a hardware button to spare, you can search for MagicSS using your favorite search engine. Download the cab and run it on your device. Then go to Start, Settings, Buttons and assign a hardware button to it. Wherever you want a screenshot, you press that hardware button and a dialog will come out asking you what to name the screenshot file and where to save it.
There are many other screenshot programs out there. I use MagicSS (freeware) but somebody else can recommend something different.

MagicSS works great! Thanks!
Oh, and I don't need to get the up and down buttons to work on the email. A simple flick up and down on the envelope scrolls through 'em

Ok, I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere..
I installed M2DC and restored your backup. The buttons are corrected. Only problem is, when I use M2DC to deselect any of the tabs, the home tab is the only one that shows up. I can slide across the screen and select the others, but they aren't visible and the screen shows some kind of artifacts across where I slid...
What did you do in that xml file to prevent the buttons from getting cut off?
Also, is there any way to get rid of the clock section altogether? Even when I have both types of clocks deselected, there's just a big empty space left.. I'd rather see more calendar items, etc..

I had this problem previously. Using 7 (or more?) buttons seems to help.
What buttons are you using anyhow?

Nothing. They just worked in mine. I think it came from player911's Blue Theme.zip.

I have been studying the XML and it appears that there are "RECT" settings in the file. You will likely find success by monkeying with the x and y coordinates in the file. Here is the section I believe to be relevant.
Weird that anything less than 7 causes problems.. I got rid of the ones I'll *never* use (email, locations, weather) and replaced them with some I *might* use..
Thanks!
I'll see what I can figure out with the RECT coordinates..
(I just don't see the point of a huge analog clock..)
FTouchSL question: Has anyone noticed that FTouch SL sometimes "forgets" the applications that are excluded and you have to go remind it? Anyone seen this and know how to fix it?
T
I had trouble with an application specific right to left gesture. Between then and now I realized that SPB Mobile Shell has a global gesture setting. I disabled it and also reconfigured FTouchSL and that right to left gesture is working perfectly now. Don't know exactly what fixed it.
I've not been able to get the "extended" gestures to work at all.
Also, multiple select works everywhere except Outlook.
Other than that it's very stable and gives me several touch screen options for launching & switching to applications.
AE Button Plus is really the slickest for reliable and customizable action triggers though. Almost feels like a Blackberry now.
Has anyone else's Wi-Fi stopped working? I used to be able to roll out of bed and check my e-mail or stocks using the Wi-Fi, but now, all of a sudden, it doesn't work.

The Blue Theme file was constantly updated as we went along. Initially we had the problem with the buttons getting cut off, which was because the theme was designed to use in conjunction with RealVGA. Midway, someone found a new XML file that corrected the cut off icons, but had many other design flaws. So we basically combined the best from both till we got the final product.
The whole theme is displayed from homescreen.xml in the \Windows\ folder. If you read through it, you can disable/enable tabs and manually edit the theme to your liking. Everything you see is a plugin, which to get rid of the clock, I would assume you would just delete the <Clock> code.
You'd also have to move the calendar items up using the funky coordinates.
First thing would be to get a completely functional skin working properly, then edit that. Just make sure you keep an unmodified backup... and post pictures and files of what you do so others can do the same.
I figured someone would have taken my theme and at least created some extra colors. It's pretty easy to do in Adobe Fireworks. Just open all the graphic files in Fireworks, then apply a filter to adjust the HUE. All it is, is a slider from 0% to 100%. Going from Yellow to Blue, I just made the HUE 75%.
I think Player911 is trying to get something like these screenshots.
Frankly, that dialer is great for a touchscreen-only device or a QWERTY slider device. I like the default dialer on the Epix much, much better for keyboard-only use. It only has one bug though: You cannot access the Call History from the keyboard; you have to show the touch keypad and then touch the Call History button before you can access stuff like the Call Timers.
Yea those screenshots from that link are what is on the Fuze. I dunno, but I really like it alot. The hacked Rom I'm using has everything removed so you can only install what you want. I tried going back to the default dialer but I really like the BIG buttons and features that the Fuze dialer offers. One cool thing is that after you dial a number manually, it'll ask you if you want to save it once you hang up. Pretty neat.
I just found it more useful, and thought I'd post it. If it worked, yay, if not oh well.
looking to increase/decrease the volume on your Epix, checkout this post at xda. basically, you go to the dial pad and type *#0002*28346# to the volume panel control of the "i780". you can use the menu to change the values of the different sound components. i bumped up the RX volume from -3db to 3db and there was an increase in handset volume. would appreciate someone else trying to confirm it works for them.
