To get rid of the sound at least, you replace the poweroff.wav and poweron.wav files in the Windows folder with slient files. Just use the Windows sound creator to record a blank sound, give it those names, and then put them into the Windows folder on the Epix.
Hey all! Thanks to everyone who has worked so hard on manilla, I am loving it on my Epix. The only problem I am having now is my key backlight does not come on under any circumstances. I have tried editing all the relevant settings I know of to no avail. Any ideas?
Is there a way to add local cities in the weather .....
Hi I appreciate everyone's work on the manilla 2D themes. They are great. I have one question and that is there anyway to edit the weather widget to access local cities releveant to where one lives or is traveling instead of being forced to use what is there? I like this feature if I could customize it for me. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am guessing you found the setting that says "Backlight off during daytime" or something like that?
I thought I was having the same problem, but realized it was set to be off during certain times.
I figure you found that, but just in case.

My city was listed. You can add multiple cities also I think. I only did it once by accident, as it has the default city active... then I went to add my city effectively giving me 2 cities to choose from.
It has a pretty good list of cities to choose from, but you could probably add your own.
I dont have my phone linked with my email anymore, so hopefully it will stop turning itself on. as for S2U2, i install it, it runs and lets me change settings, but nothing works for some reason, ill have to tinker around with it to se whats up. and i did the timeout thing to 0 minutes, i dont mind haveing to use my pin every time, saves me from calling someone when i dont mean to cuz its in my pocket. i was having a problem with it though cuz when id be using my GARMIN gps on it it would go to the lock screen after so long, but i just put backlight overide on, so hopefully that will fix it. thanks for the help. just one more reason i love howardforums, people actually helping others. its great. thanks again
I already have problems with S2U2 also. It seems it wants to stop working for a while after I exit the Config program. Eventually it'll relax and start working. It happens every time I exit the config tool.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the problem started sometime after installing Manilla 2d. Thanks for the advice though.

Anyone ever heard of an App that sends out a text message at a scheduled time? Oftentimes I've wanted to type up a message, set a date/time for it to send out, and then forget about it.. I need some program that holds it in the Drafts folder or something and then sends it when it comes time.

Hi, Im a Samsung Epix user from Toronto, Canada with Rogers network. Do you guys have the hack or fix for the SMS Time Stamp issue? Everytime I receive a text message, the time of arrival always registers 4 hours late in my phone.
any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

sms time stamp issue
hi, thanks for the reply
yes all settings are correct& i already tried the cab fix & registry fix from xda-developers but still it doesnt work, i guess the fixes are for htc devices only. there's alot of people experiencing this same issue here in canada especially with with their blackjack 2. its really annoying having this issue specially if you're a frequent user of sms text messaging.
i hope theres a fix for this, thanks.
