Yea, hit one of the volume keys on the side. Works for silencing a normal ring and when in vibration mode. It doesn't ignore the call. Don't forget that if you used AEBplus on your device and configured those buttons for something else, it probably won't work.

I can confirm that after hard resetting my Epix, I can silent an incoming call by hitting the volume keys on the side. However, it does not do that any more after installing a few apps and I am not sure what app causes it. These are all I installed after hard resetting: Google search/maps, skyfire, chgFingerMouse, PHM Regeditor, Clean Startup and shutdown. I notice that my volume key is acting like a normal volume keys in my today home screen but acts like a page up/down when I am viewing my email inbox??? and I do not have the VolFix installed. Any idea what program or what makes my volume keys to behave like this? as I remember it did not do this right after hard resetting so I can touch it to silent an incoming ring. Thanks.

Your problem with the local routing number thing...it always happens to me whenever I change my plan, do an upgrade, or anything else that has anything to do with my account. I always have to spend several hours on the phone explaining to the techs that some of the routing numbers need to be changed. Some techs don't even know what I was talking about. Some others insists that it's impossible. In the end, they tell me that "they have no idea how this would happen", but yea it's something they have to fix on their end. Anyway, I just thought I'd share my experiences.

Yeah, it really seems like it is hit or miss depending on what tech you talk to. I had to pretty much demand that I was escalated to tier 2 support because the original response was that the towers were just overloaded.

That behavior sure sounds like VolFix.

You know what? Sometime pressing the volume key on my phone DOES silent an incoming call ring, sometime it DOES NOT. I just tried it and it was so weird that it worked the first time but I can't get it to work like that any more. Any idea on this weird behavior? Thanks.

I notice my Epix does the same (locks up, need to pull battery out) whenever I try to unlock the keypad at the same time when an email comes in (either exchange or imap). First the screen would freeze, then I'd lose my screen and then nothing...

Yeah, a dysfunctional app tends to do a hard lock. I found out that either it's S2U2 or Opera running in the foreground will hard lock the Epix if you leave S2U2 and come back minutes later. That didn't quite sound right, but basically if S2U2 kicks in while in Opera and you don't unlock it by the time the display shuts down, then when it does go black it stays that way until you pull the battery. It could be v1.35, but aside from that, the new version hasn't really caused me any grief. I just got into the habit of shutting down active apps more often.

Has anyone figured out a way to silence a call when it's coming in without ignoring it? With the old Blackjack, you could hit to rocker on the side, and it would silence, but not ignore the call.

I'd like to know this as well. After hard resetting my phone, I call my cell from my home number and can use the volume keys on the side to silent an incoming call as long as my phone is NOT locked. If I lock the phone (hold the red end key), this volume key does not do any thing in this case. Can someone confirm with me that is how the Epix works? My original BJ would silent an incoming call regardless of it's being locked or not. Thanks.

Hey Baller2007, just thought I'd add that both my wife's phone and my phone have also got that SLOG DUMP message. No idea what it is though.

the SLOG DUMP is wierd, n i have no idea wut it does. i cant wait til samsung releases an update, n hopefully soon to fix alot of bugs n issues. And does anyone know how to get Opera to play flash videos or youtube videos? rather than the crappy mobile youtube, i had it once running as if it were on a real computer, i dunno what exactly i had installed, but ive hard reset my device since n now cant seem to figure out what i had installed to get it to play.

That's it...you're right...mine does it too. When it's locked i can't use the side buttons to turn off the ring. Gawd who did they employ to program the device??

I got it running, and i can see the dpad onscreen, but every time I touch it the menu pops up and the game pauses. Got any tips?

i found icons on the web i wanted to use, used Photoshop2 to format them for Manila2D and then renamed them using the Manila2D naming convention.

Hi guys great work on everything here. I have one small problem in that when i go to the weather tab all i get is a note that says weather forecast data may incur additional data fees. Any ideas on what i did wrong? Everything elses seems to be working great thanks again

It was not the 'Samsung silent sound' program that crashes as I still had the problem (phone turned off itself) after removing this program. I had to do a hard reset to resolve this problem. I slowly add apps back in and so far, I have installed: Google search/maps, skyfire, chgFingerMouse, PHM Regeditor, Clean Startup and shutdown with no problem.

After installing and enabling FTouchSL trial version 2.9 on my Epix, I experience the 'crash' that the phone turned itself off. The only way to bring it back up is to take the battery out and put it back in. I love the FTouchSL feature but had to remove it due to this problem I have. Has anyone else here experienced this with FTouchSL trial version2.9? Thanks.

I am using FTouchSL without issues.

Are you sure that is it? You do have a history of pointing the finger at innocent applications...

Is that the only app you installed that day?
