It seems I kill mine pretty quick. Playing BT music and such sure seems to drain the battery fast. Most days I charge twice...
same here. battery life sucks more than the blackjack. when using palringo, its 2 hours max. is my battery messed up or is this normal. i'm constantly charging at work. good thing i'm at my desk a few hours during the day.
Question: I have the unlimited data plan with ATT and today is my first time using Wifi to connect to my home network. How do I know if my Epix's using Wifi or ATT Media Net? Thanks.

Might be a better way, but I would just turn off the router in the middle of a download and see if there is a significant hiccup or speed change.
My Observations about Epix Notification Patch v1.0
We DO finally get an audible email alert! Oddly, unlike in the case of receiving an SMS message, the phone is never activated (screen turned on) when receiving an email message. Sort of a preference thing - some will like this, others will not - not a big deal though.
When the phone is set to Vibrate, you DO receive a vibrating alert for a new Email message.
The LED alerts with SMS messages is completely unchanged. It blinks 6 times, then never blinks again. (My settings are to blink for 30 mins)
The LED alerts for Email messages is completely unchanged. It blinks about 7-8 times, then never blinks again. (My settings are to blink for 5 mins)
After a soft reset, my "Display message on screen" settings still revert back to being checked. This is absolutely annoying.
Because of the faulty LED alerts settings and "Display message on screen" settings reverting back to default upon soft reset, this patch, in my opinion, is a failure. I hope Samsung is still working on future updates for these problems.

I agree. Absolutely VERY annoying, especialy I have two batteries that I swap every 2 days.
Does anyone know where these notification sounds are stored? I have a few ringtones that I'd like to add.
Thanks.
if the patch was to correct the "display message on screen" settings AND provide audible standby notifications AND force the LED to blink, then yes, i'd call it a failure. but, since it was created to address the sound notifications, it's not a failure.
some of us (me included) expected a patch to address the audible alerts, LED blinking, the "display message" setting and the increasing ringtone sound, and in that regard, Samsung failed to deliver (a comprehensive patch). i'm not happy with this, but i'll take what i can get!
EDIT: found this notification tweak in the Blackstone forum on xda-developers. i've tried the All Options w/Repeat setting and, yes, the notifications will repeat, but it's unpredictable and i have no clue when it will turn itself off.
True, I guess it acheived what it was intended to fix, but at this rate the BJ4 will be out before all the Epix bugs are addressed
i hope not! by the way, i was able to get repeating audible notifications using the info in the thread above. the audible notification will stop once i've read all my email. no love, however, with the LED notifications.

I'm getting custom color LED notifications using phoneAlarm - which weren't working reliably before the patch was installed. I've got it set to blue for SMS and purple for e-mail. It doesn't blink, it just stays solid until I clear the notification, but it's better than no LED notification at all.
