I want to use skype but with my bluetooth headset instead of speakerphone.
I have tried skype, Iskoot. I cannot get fring to even get a connection. Is there anyother program out there that can use skype with a bluetooth headset ?
Fibrolan
Yeah. I thought I had it working with my s9 STEREO headphones at first, but then I realized that my voice was only going through the Epix microphone, not the bluetooth.
I agree this Epix is the worst for the increasing ring and vibrate. They really need to fix these 2 issues. Also, the reminder does not work if the phone is in standby mode. So many problems!!!
GREAT post again guys... this thing is huge. I got behind posts a little before christmas time when finals started... but i wanted to post about an issue I had to see if anyone else has had it:
My charge/sync port seems to have a short. When I plug in the AC adapter, it makes a sound indicating something was plugged in but immediately goes dark again and shows no power. If i wiggle the connection some I can get intermittent indications of charging, but not if I just leave it there.
Called AT&T and they are shipping a replacement today. Anyone else run into issues like this? I bought the phone around when it first came out and had no other hardware issues.
Is there any chance for a fix for the ringer? It is horrible. I have to return all my calls instead of just answering them. I made the ringer longer by calling ATT customer support. That helps some, but most people just think my voicemail doesn't work and they hang up. I'm really considering selling my phone because of this. Chances are I figure I wouldn't get much for it anyhow.
I'm also really annoyed at how I have to push the power button to make the screen go dim while in a call. Wouldn't a basic feature of a touch screen phone be for you not to be able to hang up on people via your ear touching the screen???
My problem is that when I make the screen go dark(sorry don't know what it is called) I can't hit any buttons if required and it just seems like a pain right now. Hopefully I get used to it.
Does anyone know if the ringer will be fixed? This is my biggest problem.
Thanks!

Try this and let me know it's working. I have not tried it myself.
Launch the Phone app by pressing the green “phone” button on your Epix.
Dial: *#0002*28346#
To change the Ring tone volume:
Go to: Menu > Normal > Handset.
Changed the DAC to a different value than default (Not sure what value is needed to increase the ringtone loudness)
To change the Handset/Speakphone/Earjack/Bluetooth (BTMono) volume:
Go to: Menu > Talking > Select corresponding item
TX: Controls how loud people hear you
RX: Controls how loud you hear people
Remember to select Menu > Apply after setting your dB values.
Thanks.
I tried setting the DAC volume to different things, but it didn't seem to change anything. The problem is that the ringer is ascending even when not set to be. I don't think it matters how loud the actual ringer is. It still barely rings for a good amount of second before it gets louder.
Not sure why Samsung thought this was a good idea. My local ATT store told me to do a waranty claim.
This is a problem with all of the Epix right?
Thanks.

Yep... if you look through this thread people have talked about it quite a bit. Apparently there will be another patch that will fix this problem... until then you just have to deal with it!
Oooh.. is it really true that they are going to make a patch for that? That would make me very happy.
I don't want to get a new phone if I don't have to.
If you have it set for the longest duration to ring, volume rockers all the way up, set to a noisy ringtone, and even go into the advanced sound controls and bump those up... In my opinion, that should be more than enough to hear the phone ring despite it being increasing ring.
You obviously aren't understanding the problem I am having. The ring volume is so low at the beginning I can not even hear it until the end when it is super loud.
I can't hear it in time to answer calls. Sounds like a problem to me. If you don't have a problem with it then great for you.
