quick question: can you guys enable the device lock with TFlow2D running? when i press and hold the end key, the screen refreshes but the lock does not engage. if it was working correctly, the word "Unlock" would appear above the left soft key.
thanks... it must be something i installed that's made this feature inoperative. guess i'll have to hard reset, load apps and see which one is the culprit. one other question: i have my email "Sound & Notifications" settings configured to NOT display notifications for email, yet after i power off/on, the setting does not hold. andbody else experience this behavior?

The display refresh rate is terrible, CoPilot Live works, but the scale is off due to the 320x320 resolution. Spb Pocket Plus won't work, the tabs won't display on the today screen at all, and it locks up the device to the point where I have to reset it. Good thing I make a backup before installing apps, because the lockups got so bad that I hard reset and restored to the point before I had installed it.
Can anyone else think of any apps that aren't working properly on the Epix?
Yes, I can. I hold down the end call button for a couple of seconds and then I get the unlock option with the left soft key.
i read on att forums that the end-key lock feature appears to be disabled when you use the simple PIN lock. unfortunately, i have to use the PIN lock feature to have my corporate Exchange email pushed to my device. an acceptable trade-off (for now, lol).

i'm sure there are other programs that aren't "resolution aware" that don't display right. don't know about the SPB issues. i'm using GarminMobile XT and it automatically adjusts to the 320x320 resolution. i can't comment on other problematic programs. Manila2D (TouchFlo2D), Google Maps, Live Search, Opera 9.5 (build 2392), Resco Explorer/Registry Editor and Adrian HTTPMail (to push my MSN mail) are the only apps i have installed and they work fine.
I just downloaded and installed an updated version of Pocket Plus and it's working fine now.
What's this I hear about a program/hack that will remove the AT&T bloatware from the Epix? Where can I find it? I did a search, both here and Google, but turned up nothing.
If someone knows anything about this, I would be grateful to get rid of all that AT&T junk!

I'm interested in this also. I removed the shortcuts, But I want to actually delete the programs.
works like a charm...no extra buttons or anything...just slide...and unlock. :-)
Also works with the Manilla2d weather.

As far as Pocket Plus, are you getting the x button drop down box on the home screen? Are you using Manila?
I don't get the x button. but the battery meter works along with other options of Pocket Plus.

This was discussed in another thread. I think the "No Email Notifications While in Suspend" is a bug specifically with the EPIX. Even without any special programs, I think the Epix fails to notify while in Standby.
I would assume it would be a simple registry edit to get it working again.
I've been looking for themes for Manilla2D in 320x320 res and having a hard time also. I would think the best way to skin it would be to just do it ourselves. All the required files are in Theme files... it would be as simple as taking the existing files and editing them. I'm sure someone would be up to the challenge.
S2U2 (Slide to Unlock) does work pretty well out of the box. The only problem I saw was during my alarm going off this morning. It seemed like the Alarm and S2U2 were battling for the forefront. Both were popping in and out, which makes it quite fun to turn off at 7am. I finally got the S2U2 unlocked and disabled the alarm.
I'm still looking for the Blackjack II keyboard file [\windows\keypad.dll] from a ROM dump or something. I got a hold of a friends Blackjack II last night and got all the extra registry keys from the Keyboard... but I was unable to extract the keypad.dll file. All my attempts ended up failing or returning a 0kb file. I'm trying to change the keyboard driver to see if we can get PressN'Hold = ALT CHAR... and if it will then accept more then 1 key input at a time.
It should work seeing the Blackjack II and Epix share the same keyboard layout.
I have been unable to find in the registry how to turn off the notification when SIM PIN is entered after a soft reset, and also how to speed up the startup/shutdown animation and set the audio to none. I searched the registry using some of the key words that disabled it on my old Q9 but I couldn't find it. Thanks for the help.
I had a problem a couple days ago where my phone would not boot up, so I had to mess around with my phone for a bit, I tried alot of button combinations. This one surprised me.
To hard reset the Samsung Epix, with the phone off you hold the H key and turn the phone on keep holding the h key it brings you up to a menu to format the phone. I will get some pictures uploaded eventually its interesting that noone at samsung or att knew how to do this I called both.
