I'm not using the x button feature in Pocket Plus, I use HandySwitcher instead, so I haven't even activated that feature.
But has anyone else noticed just how slow this device is, particularly since it has a 624mhz processor? I'm using a 16GB microSDHC card and only have programs that must be installed into RAM and it's still sluggish.
my device is not slow at all - and this it with Manill2D installed. now, with that said, i only have Opera, Google Maps, Garmin Mobile XT, Live Search & Resco Explorer installed on my device. all the programs are installed to my 6GB microSD card.

i'm using the Optical Mouse vs. the stylus, however, i've seen the mis-alignment behavior on my device when using the stylus. when using the programs applet, if i use the stylus to tap at the top of the up arrow on the vertical scroll bar, the "X" button is pressed instead. certainly not a good thing! if, on the other hand, i use the optical mouse to tap the same location, the screen scrolls up as expected.

Finally, has anyone here managed to actually app unlock their device? I've tried a couple of programs, soft reset, but still get that annoying message asking me if it's alright to install programs.
don't have a quick answer for this one, but, you'll likely have to change multiple registry keys similar to what's done on a WM Standard device.
i'm sure there are other programs that aren't "resolution aware" that don't display right. don't know about the SPB issues. i'm using GarminMobile XT and it automatically adjusts to the 320x320 resolution. i can't comment on other problematic programs. Manila2D (TouchFlo2D), Google Maps, Live Search, Opera 9.5 (build 2392), Resco Explorer/Registry Editor and Adrian HTTPMail (to push my MSN mail) are the only apps i have installed and they work fine.
I tried Garmin Mobile XT and it seemed to only want to work with a Bluetooth GPS, and not the internal one. Any tips here?
What I really wanted was GPS Track Recording and GPSed seems to work ok and it does work with the internal GPS. I can't tell you how many apps I tried first.

yous should (1) Disable GPS, (2) Select GPS Intermediate Drive and (3) Enable GPS. go back to the start page and you should see the GPS Signal meter turn green once the signal is locked.
I've been working on it all night but can't seem to get it to work. Each time I install the ResPack96dpi cab my contacts and phone stop working. I really want this to work but I hit a road block.
Hey Verks - did you ever get this going?
Running into the same problem.
Thanks!

i made these changes to the registry and the "annoying" message has gone bye-bye:
the usual warnings apply: you assume all the risk of something not working!
EDIT: check that, i just received that annoying message launching an exe file from my storage card and when installing cab files... back to da drawin' board.
1. Can we figure out how to adjust the sensitivity of the 4 way touch pad?
with i could make it more sensitive so it scrolls faster with one swipe.
2. Anyone able to bet realvga 96dpi workings properly?
Whenever i install my phone and contacts stop working.
thanks!
We haven't been using ReadVGA. The Manilla Themes here require you DON'T use REALVGA. There are some themes that will work will RealVGA but RealVGA sucks and makes certain things work... while breaking others.
But FYI. If you use the Manilla 2D and themes I posted and use RealVGA, it will not work.
If you are hellbent on getting REALVGA to work for other reasons, then use an older version. The latest version breaks things. You'll have to hard reset your phone to fix the contacts bug, since we haven't looked into fixing useless bugs.
Just a note for all the people here, FYI SPB Mobile Shell v. 2.1.2 (the latest version) seems to be working off the shelf, with full 320x320 pixel support.
I installed it with the intention to load a Diamond 240x240 skin for it, only to see that the default layout fully recognized the 320x320 resolution with no distortions, artifacts or misalignments.
I had already licensed the product for my 8502, so I am a really happy camper
looking to increase/decrease the volume on your Epix, checkout this post at xda. basically, you go to the dial pad and type *#0002*28346# to the volume panel control of the "i780". you can use the menu to change the values of the different sound components. i bumped up the RX volume from -3db to 3db and there was an increase in handset volume. would appreciate someone else trying to confirm it works for them.

Yeah. It started up the Audio Control app for me. I didn't change anything though...
Thanks for the GXT tipz. I will reinstall and try it again later.
Does anyone else have problems with having the bottom of the Ultimatelaunch screen cut off? Is there a way to fix this, a way to add scrollbars or something?
What geocaching app do you use, I have been looking for one but have not had any luck finding one for the Blackjack2.
I use CacheMate. It's available at http://smittyware.com/ppc/ for the the Epix with touch screen, and http://smittyware.com/wmsp/cachemate/ for Windows Smart Phone (no touch screen). To fully unlock it costs 10 dollars and is COMPLETELY worth it. It makes full use of gpx files and has a full database engine. Also, it links straight to geocaching.com to pull the waypoint info as well. It comes with a plugin called CacheNav...Guess what it does. :-)
Yeah...I don't even need my garmin with me any more. I can be out at lunch or something and pull the waypoint up AND navigate to it all in one app! I can even see what caches are closest to me by setting my center via the GPS.
I highly recommend it. I think it to be the defacto geocaching database tool. I don't even use GSAK (GeoCachers Swiss Army Knife) anymore. This does everything I used that for and I don't have to cart a laptop with me.
