How to Unlock a Pantech Matrix C740?? (I have the code)

I got the unlock code for a Pantech Matrix C740, but I can't figure out how to actually unlock it. On other phones that I have unlocked, all you have to do is stick in the wrong SIM card and then you will be prompted for the unlock code, and that's it. But this Pantech Matrix doesn't prompt me for any code, and I can't figure out how to enter it in. And I have searched Google thoroughly and I can't find any help at all. Has anyone unlocked one of these before that can help me out?

Wow, nobody knows how to unlock one of these? I tried Pantech support and they told me I would have to contact AT&T, so I called AT&T and they said they don't have instructions on how to unlock it yet.

To enter the SIM unlock code, do the following:
    1. Put AT&T SIM card in C740
    2. Turn on
    3. Enter *#865625# on idle screen
    4. SIM Unlock Process - Click Yes.
    5. Enter 8 digits unlock code and click OK (soft key)
    6. Re-enter the unlock code.
    7. Unlock Process Complete
    8. Click OK (soft key).

I see in your signature there you have speedtest.net bandwidth benchmarks. You have labeled them, one for your home cable connection with Rogers Cable, and one that is supposedly for your iPhone 3G's tethering speed.

We can clearly see "Rogers Cable" listed as the ISP in your supposed iPhone benchmark.

I registered just to this out.

As you can see im located in markham...when you do an iphone speed test wiht that SPEED TEST.COM site..it chooses the best possibe server...my test would't say ROGERS 3G CONNECTION...and why wouldi post a lower test score compared to my ACTUAL cable connection...you should unregister yourself...and may i say...whats it to you?..troll.

It says Rogers Cable because you fired up bittorrent or something that would take up some of your bandwidth so you could test a bit slower. The reason you faked your iPhone speed is because you want it to seem like it's faster than it actually is.

Being the Canadian iPhone user that I am, I can assure you that when we go to speedtest.net, the ISP shows up as Verizon Business and the max speed anyone ever gets is 1.5mpbs really.

Nice try, but we are not fooled by your shenanigans.

Hey Teddy - who the hell cares! All that matters is he helped me get my Pantech Matrix unlocked, and I give him HUGE pops for that. Thank you, DarknessTM!!

The unlock code comes from the carrier. I think AT&T was the only carrier to offer this phone.
I got two phones via a contract so I immediately called AT&T and asked for the unlock codes which they provided. I than sold the phones on Ebay unlocked.
Not everybody knows this, I know I didn't the first time I sold my contract phones locked. Locked is not as marketable as unlocked.
So if you bought it from someone like me just have them call AT&T with the IMEI number and they will provide the code because there is a contract and the carrier will nail them for like $150 per phone if they cancel service early.
