    Hacking The Motorola V750

I've read through a couple of threads but haven't gotten the answers I'm looking for.

I tried to download MSU and PST:

But neither of them will pick up my phone. I've got the USB connection, it's plugged in and the computer sees the phone fine. It's just the program keeps telling me to connect the device. So something is not syncing up. Any suggestions? There doesn't seem to be any MSU for the V750 and no one posts links anywhere.

There is no current MSU for the v750 that I am aware of. The only "update" I got was from using MPT after hacking my 750. Motorola reset the software to the default settings. Also removed my auto warranty date. Luckily, I was able to get it reinstalled. That was the last time I used MPT.

I would've thought MSU would work with the V750...But PST will not, don't bother trying. The place to start would be with P2k05seem, found here:
    http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1439318

It is a stand-alone program, no need for MSU. It can also replace MSU when using P2KCommander.

And I believe MPT version 5 more or less has MSU built into it, that's why it does updates.
    If only you knew...

Whooo boy that's a scary combination...MPT and MSU! MPT is the buggiest and most idiosyncratic piece of software I've ever seen...can't stand it...the idea of letting it update anything on my phone is terrifying!

I haven't upgraded past 4.36 and never use it anyway but what a really lousy idea on Moto's part.
