I would probably import my Windows Office 2007 into the new Mac but other Mac users I know use Mac software. So, what can the Storm do with Mac as opposed to PC?
RIM doesn't do anything to support Macs. Supposedly they are going to work on it though. A great example of how they are still very much business focused.
They suggest you download a free 3rd party app called PocketMac. I have heard some horror stories from my fellow Mac users, so i avoided it. I bit the bullet and paid the $40 for Missing Sync. http://www.markspace.com/products/bl...-software.html
I didn't have my Curve long, but i was still battling the syncing issues when i returned it. Some things worked well, but it had a nasty habit of deleting contacts, or sometimes just their phone numbers. REALLY frustrating.
It implies that it will support the Storm, so i'll give it another go. Verizon's Wireless Sync doesn't seem to support Blackberries, so when you lose your phone numbers..... you are kind of hosed. I suggest saving your old phone with your numbers in it and have some spare time to restore everything.

There should be support forums out there, but i didn't have the phone long enough to spend all the time on it. Every time a sync failed, i lost a lot of phone numbers and calendar entries. Unfortunately it will take more effort than an iPhone or Palm OS device to keep in sync.

I am not asking anything whatsoever about VIP perks for this or any other phone. I only used the VIP phone number to contact the person I spoke to. Customers who have received this flier are not saying they did so because of VIP status either. Some have even said they do NOT have VIP status (didn't even know what it was, or knew and knew that they were NOT).

I am still looking for confirmed, corroborated information about this specific flier that is claiming to GIFT early upgrades, WHO and WHY they're getting it, WHY others are not, and if there's any recourse for those who aren't but "should" be.

I to was offered that after complaining. I had about 8 Voyager replacement and asked to be sent a new one which was the Titanium. Turns out they used my annual upgrade for a new Voyager which I was unaware of. But yeah, looks like I'll be paying zero after I get about $300 on eBay for my phone.

That may be true but applying it to the retail price of the Storm is a huge misconception and wrong statement.

The 8830 is $519.99 full retail; the Storm will be higher. The price of Blackberries, full retail wise, does not drop when a newer model comes out. The price will remain the same; thus equating the retail price of the Storm to previous, non-Blackberry devices, retail price from Best Buy is a mistake.

Full retail will be $549 or $599; most likely the latter.

I know you all have not been believers, but I have spoken to CS 2x today and both times I was told full retail will be $369.00 I guess we will find out next week for sure though.

I don't follow crackberry right now so i was unaware of it there. It says to bring in flier in area where address is. I don't have vip status that i'm aware of. I just let verizon send me offers and other things they want to shill. Didn't expect a riot over that either.

    favorites - photos - details

I have an LG Dare and want to switch to the Blackberry Storm because of great calendar and other aps. I am not that familiar with Blackberry products and I've never had one because either they were too big or the smaller one didn't have a full qwerty. The Storm seems like a really great touch phone.

I see the Storm will have VZ Navigator, which is great for me. I'm wondering if it will have "favorites," like the Dare, meaning I can make photo icons of contacts and touch them to make a call?

Is there an appropriate thread that lists "all the different things the Storm does/has?"

    Thanks,
Love gadgets I'm too naive to work!

That would be impossible. Why would the retail be lower than all the other BB's? That's just common sense. And why would it be $230 lower than the retail at Best Buy sells it for. I'm pretty sure it $599.

Nope, I called my store and they said no demo as of yet. He said that they are selling the Storm on Friday but wasn't sure when the demo would be in. He said there would be one on Friday though.

CSR told me $599, the other rumor is $369 which is incorrect.
