Does the LACK of an * next to the full retail pricing on the screenshot above mean that the rebate isn't available if you pay full retail? That would seem pretty lame if so.
Full retail NEVER comes with MIR, but cut out your UPC and send in the rebate and you will get it. I've done it with almost all my phones that I paid Full Retail including the Pearl when it was first launched.
Cheap TPU cases. Thunderbolt, MT4G, Nexus S (4G) Droid X/X2, DInc 2/S, HTC Sensation, Samsung Infuse, EVO 3D, SGSII

Yes that is correct.

What would you send in besides the UPC to get the rebate? Aren't rebate forms generated along with the receipt for the phone along with a duplicate to mail in now? That's the way I've received my last couple of forms.

That is correct. Also when you buy a phone at full retail the receipt says not rebate eligible. So even if you did get a rebate it would be denied. Anyway lets get back on topic.
I was confused by my pre order at Best Buy myself. One of the local stores was still doing preorders. The rep told me that just because I preordered the phone doesn't mean I will get it the 21st because he doesn't know how many they will have in stock. I was confused and said "don't they order the amount that was preordered?" he seemed confused. I called another Best Buy after preordering (I figured at least if I don't get the phone on the 21st here I can try a Corp Verizon store and get my $50 back). The rep at the other Best Buy store said we stopped taking preorders, I don't think they were supposed to take anymore since today, but if you preorder the phone they get one shipped on the 21st just for you. Maybe he said you may not get one because you did a preorder today? But there should be enough.
I'm confused about the BB preorder for this phone. If I preorder the phone should I be expected to get the phone on the 21st? And are all the stores really not supposed to be taking anymore preorders? Thanks.
i called my best buy today also, (i preordered mine on the 10th) to see about setting up an appointment to get my phone on the 21st...i hadnt received a call yet. well the guy told me that they wernt gonna call anyone till they get them in. are all best buys going to be selling them the 21st or are they just receiving them? any best buy employees with insight on this
i cant wait till next fri, im goin into work late, so i can be there when the store opens at 10am. i just want a new phone damnit, this alias is making me craaaaaaaaaazy. this is the first blackberry ive ever wanted and actually liked. lets just hope it doesnt suck
I'm not a Mac user, but I know many who are. Does this mean it will not sync with a Mac (calendar, contacts, etc.)? I am thinking about possibly switching from PC to Mac for my home puter and this would become important. I would probably import my Windows Office 2007 into the new Mac but other Mac users I know use Mac software. So, what can the Storm do with Mac as opposed to PC?
tethering meaning using it as a modem.
Its a rev a device so it will be wayyy faster. i will look at getting a new modem string to make it work. you can tether a blackberry modem as generic pc5220 modem on a mac.
I have used a aircard with my mbp but that used vz access manager but there be no vzam for mac and the storm, so ill have to ad lib to make it work...
im probably not alone on here... but I got the chance to finally try out the Storm today. Our data rep brought it into the store.
The click-touch screen is weird but sweet.. im using both the 8830 and Dare... I'm not very good with the Dare keypad, but the Storm keypad worked out pretty well for me.
The screen resolution w/ videos is unbelievable... he had on a trailer for some Vin Diesel movie (ugh)... the visuals were far better than I had expected.
The unit itself is pretty heavy in comparison to the 8830, tho dimensions wise, its similar...
I found the browser to be smooth in operation and the webpages loaded a lot faster than they do on my 8830.
I didn't get a chance to try out the VZNav due to customers engulfing my kiosk. The only thing I was not crazy about was that I found it lagged slightly when choosing an application from the main menu... but other than that, it is an excellent phone and I'll be buying one through employee accounts.
This is something interesting a few of us noticed over at Crackberry. In this Vodafone instruction video about the Browser, notice the animated banner at the top of the website.

I guess ill have to start a Mac thread like I did with the Pearl and helped out with the Curve. It's really simple actually.
I do both currently as well. work gives me a pearl and i ought a curve for myself.
simple yes . but rev a is a totally different animal.
it speifically states no bt or wired bbac for mac!!!
