FYI, Verizon site was down earlier. When it came back up, a link was added
under blackberry devices with a little pic of it and it's listed now. Still just takes you to the same page as before so it's still not listed with all the other
BB's. No biggie....
I ordered the craddle the other day and it said it did not come with any charging device. It said you will need a data cable to charge from your computer, so I went into Verizon and asked them for the proper data cable. They all were arguing over whether is was a mini or a macro. They sold me the mini, I'm assuming that the Motorla KRZR is a macro as I looked at the mini usb cable and my KRZR charging cable. Can someone confirm, cause the guys at verizon were totally confused.

Thanks.
And the phone will come with a charger. You won't HAVE to charge from your pc. That's just silly, Though it is nice having it charge while you use it for a modem as I do with my curve. The cradle will probably plug into the wall with the charger provided with the phone, if indeed the cradle doesn't come with it's own.
Although you certainly could plug it into your pc too. Just saying you don't need to. Also the phone comes with the data cable, so you don't have to buy another one unless you want to.

Reason: add info
Thanks for all the replies. I will return the cable and see what it comes with. I already ordered my invisible shield which they told me shipped already and a case and an extra charger. Just want to be prepared, I know I don't have to charge from my computer, but it's nice that it will charge while I access stuff while the storm is hooked up. P.S. this is my first bb too. Hope it's AWESOME and worth the wait!!!
I have a question about texting. I've never used a blackberry so can I send/receive texts that have more than 160 characters? or will it be broken up into separate texts?
Also does it have threaded sms?
It appears as if the Vodafone version will allow for the phone to automatically split up long messages into as many as 6 separate SMS messages. Verizon allows for EMS messaging, so technically they should allow it to send large messages to Verizon phones. However, even if that isn't possible, it is a huge step forward for BB to allow us to type past the 160 character limit and split it up automatically. I sure hope the VZW version allows what the Vodafone version does.
Alright. So I went in to Verizon today and put my name down on the list. The lady actually told me, to lessen the line on release day, I'd have a chance to be called and be sent the phone before it hits the stores.
Groves, if you want verifiable proof that the flier exists, I'll gladly take a video of it. Obviously I won't know until Friday if I can use the deal (which luck is on my side with this right now) and confirm it.
There's the saying in every pre-release thread "Don't trust what CS tells you". Even if its higher up in the chain, they still can be clueless. I have a legitimate flier from Verizon. Hell, Google almost has a street view of the address it came from (it's about a block off)
The Best Buy web site states that the current flier advertising the Storm for release on 11/is incorrect, and that it will be available on 11/23. Just food for thought.

Google street view?
Are you implying that the meta data is fake on my pic? I am not sure of anyway to manipulate that data or if you can at all.
