Dimensions for the Curve are 4.21 in Tall
0.61 in Depth
2.36 in width
Storm 4.43" Tall
0.55" Depth
2.45" Width
They have the wrong dimensions under Dimensions. Go to Full Specifications for the correct measurements.
I sure hope so. If the storm supports Divx it will almost be the perfect device for me. Guess I'll have to trade in my Cylon Communicator for this phone. I wonder how much the Blackberry trade up program will give me for one.
So what's the advantage of Divx over MPEG or 3gp for videos on the Storm? Is the quality/sound better?

Good compression while not sacrificing to much quality.

For all those worried about getting a Storm, try calling you local corporate store. I called mine and asked if they were doing anything special for the Storm release such as opening early or taking pre-orders/waiting lists. The rep said they were opening at 7am and that I could schedule an appointment with her and that they would put one on hold for my appointment. Told her 7am works for me. She said, "You must really want this phone." Told her, "You have no idea."
No. Every rep and sup i've spoken to on the phone have been 100% adamant they cannot start shipping the phone until the 21st.
I said this a few pages ago, but I'll say it again. my contact @ vzw, who is also a regional manager, told me specifically to come in on the Wed. before the 21st and I could order my storm and it would be delivered to me on the 21st. Then to come to the store on Friday, and they would activiate it for me and set up my email. Take that's for what it's worth, but I'm going on Wed to order so we'll see what happens.
I don't like this. Why isn't the $29.99 Blackberry plan on Verizon's website anymore? The cheapest i see is $49.99 If the $29.99 plan is gone, i'm not getting the Storm.

it's on there.
first go to phones and pick one, then go to plans, and pick ur voice plan, next u can pic features, it'll be under that heading.
u can't view it unless u go thru the purchase scenario. they don't highlight cuz they want people to get the $80 plan
A local smalllllll store said to me today that I can come in at 10am when they open 11/21 and it's first come, first served. He said no problems for me getting a storm on that day.
Just FYI.
Interesting...I may have to ask again. He was in some webinar on Friday, so I don't know if there were any updates.

That sounds good, too. Does Costco give any type of deal for this?
Those $49.99 plans are just for data and without voice. So basically if you want a phone but not use the phone features you can pay just a flat fee for data.
