might have a small package on your doorstep tomorrow
Tuesday at the earliest :-)
We shall see.....right now when I check the order status it is saying:
" Thank you for your order.
Your order has been sent to Verizon Wireless for approval. There is nothing that you need to do until Verizon Wireless reviews your application for service.
Once Verizon Wireless approves your order, we will process and ship your new phone(s) right away. "
This process should go rather quickly since we already have an account. We will see tomorrow AM; if the status progresses I would expect to receive it on Tuesday and it will be on eBay the same day
So, I'm the primary line on a Family Share plan (ACII, 700 min). I upgraded last October to a Z6TV. I'm guessing from the latest chatter that I won't be able to get the Storm for $200 after MIR even if I extend my contract? Whats the deal with the annual upgrades?
"coming soon" could easily mean coming with the development of new mobile browsers, which we already knew would happen. But how "soon" is what actually matters. Might not happen till next year. Who knows.

That's what I asked, I would certainly hope not. I wasn't planning being there as soon as they opened but I'm going to feel stupid if I get there and they are sold out.

I've been thinking more about it and really don't see there a reason for not getting one. However, I definitely wouldn't wait around until the late afternoon. Get there early in the morning.
I think Verizon took a cue from the iPhone's release flop (well as far as stock/inventory goes).
Also note that these can be purchased through several avenues, not only at Verizon stores...
lgphoneman does have a point...love the selctive banning....half of this thread has off topic CRAP in it and yet they keep posting over and over and over... What you need to do is ban all of them....oh ya..Blackberry Storm rules
I really don't want to pay the extra $29.99 to have this phone. But I have no option.
Yeah, but most people who do use Blackberry's tend to use a lot of data on the go, not to mention constant emailing.
If you have the Vcast package now ($15 a month)...adding an additional $15 won't be so bad...assuming you'll use it.
If you are questioning the price of the data package then you have no business getting this phone, I work for Directv, and the amount of data/email charges I use a month is way more than $30. Not that I'm paying for it but still... If the data package is what's holding you back, then you don't need the phone
I'm sure the thing about Best Buy "moving" the date back again to the 23rd is because they always have their promotions start on Sundays (they are giving away a free BT headset with the Storm). Assuming that they have the phones in the store on Friday, the 21st, I'm sure they would be willing to sell it to you then, especially since it saves them from giving away a free BT headset.
I'm not sure where these rumors of Best Buy moving their date back get substantiated at but they are false and bear no credence and has nothing to do with their promotions starting on Sundays thus being coordinated with their weekly sales advertisement.
Best Buy and Verizon Stores both will have the phones IN STOCK FOR SALE on FRi the 21st, the date HAS NOT been pushed back by anyone. Best Buy Mobile has been occupied all weekend with calling back people that pre-ordered their phones and setting up individual times for them to come in and pick up their phones on Friday. Every Best Buy in the Chicago Area has confirmed they will have the phones on sale on Friday as well as each Verizon Store( North Ave, Bucktown and Michigan Ave stores)....... This is something interesting a few of us noticed over at Crackberry. In this Vodafone instruction video about the Browser, notice the animated banner at the top of the website.
