So, I'm the primary line on a Family Share plan (ACII, 700 min). I upgraded last October to a Z6TV. I'm guessing from the latest chatter that I won't be able to get the Storm for $200 after MIR even if I extend my contract? Whats the deal with the annual upgrades?

The annual upgrade on the primary line of a family plan kicks in at 12 months. So if you last upgraded on or before 11/21/07 you should be able to use the annual upgrade to get the Storm (not sure if you saying "last October" meant October 2008 or October 2007).

What what I've been told and READ on the Verizon website and in documentation from them (quarterly catalogs, and VIP booklet recently received), you can get an annual upgrade (NOT using you're NE2) if you've had your current device for at least 12 months and have a voice plan of at least a certain amount (I can't remember if it's $39.99 or $49.99), and have no late payments, etc. I'm on the ACII as well (1400min) but upgraded in August to my current BB. I've been told I will not be receiving any "Storm love" from VZW in the way of pricing anytime soon.

I did try the upgrade at Best Buy for the Storm, and it does say it's $279.99 for the upgrade price. I would think that would have to be what they will try to charge at the stores. If this is the case my preorder is getting refunded

I haven't seen anything but I have't read ever post. Does Verizon plan on doing any presales online like Best Buy is doing? Also, I know you can't get NE2 prices through BB, but do they honor corp discounts?

Has anyone been able to confirm whether Verizon will be offering corporate discounts on the handset? There were posts previously (before pricing was confirmed) that there would be a corporate discount of $110 on the handset. Also, is it true that Verizon corporate stores can no longer provide corporate discounts in the store and in order to get the corporate discount you have to purchase the handset online or over the phone?

Same boat as me when I tried it out.

If we use our NE2 upgrade credit at a Verizon store, it will knock $100 the price, bringing the total for the phone out the door...$149.99 (plus $50 MIR). So yeah, you might want to cancel it and wait to pick it up in a Verizon store...

Yeah, I got that flyer, was just about to post pics of it. I am going into my nearest Verizon store tomorrow to see if they have a reserve list to put me on.

I hope the Flash rumors about the Storm are true, it would just be icing on the cake if it supports Flash sites in the near future.

Dude, sell your device on eBay, you'll get more for it. If you have a T720 use the trade-up program, otherwise use eBay.

To answer your question this was addressed about 15 pages ago. I don't know if anyone went through with it completely.

I may have said this elsewhere as well but I specifically asked the store manager about that (sent her an email) and she told me that she has not heard that and she checked with someone higher up and that person had not heard that before. She said she'd get back to me if she found out different. When I talked to her the other day she told me it should not be a problem getting my corporate discount on this phone. Either VZW E was wrong or it has not tricked down to the store/district level yet.

Also, just FYI not all discounts are the same amount. Some are a flat dollar amount, some are a percentage and sometimes it varies from handset to handset.
