just left my local vzw (non corp). the rep told me the storms will not arrive until monday and they will call all those that put a deposit down to setup an appointment to pick them up. the local corp store is only receiving 15 tomorrow.
If the card included is really a class 2, I'm definitely putting that in my Dare before selling it and taking the class 4 Verizon gave me free a bit back and putting it into the Storm. Way to cut costs
All the demo's I had in my hands were class 2 anyway...
I have class 2 4gig cards in my Dare and V9M.. I can tell they are slow.. especially when in a memory card reader on my PC...
I don't think customer service is taking preorders, but like I said, I called my store and they were willing to put the order through so that it could ship tomorrow. He said that they are expecting a big turnout at the store and not that many phones so to cut down on some of this craziness, they will order today and ship tomorrow.

She said they have a pre-order form that they're filling out for people and from a couple reps i've spoken to they're trying to focus on new customers right now and upgrades are gonna get pushed to the back burner if possible.
The only 16GB MicroSD cards I can find online for sale are class 2s. Maybe that' all that's available right now?
EDIT: Sorry, I got 16GB on the brain. I realize it only comes with an 8GB.
One of the reviews on Amazon.com for Sandisk's new 16 gigger that I was going to get said that the class 2 card is too slow for use with the G1 Google phone. So maybe the lag complaints in reviews are originating from the card's speed?
any ideas how many demo units the stores will have? i am going to want to play with this thing for a little bit before i buy it. i have the feeling the lines to touch the device will be longer than the lines to pay for it.
You might as well just go in and buy one anyways and then have 30 days to "play with it" all on your OWN and not have to worry about waiting for other people to be done playing with it themselves, lol.
On and for those wanting to go under the menu -> check for updates... if you are on a BES and the admin has made updates available.. that will work. If you are on BIS.. Not sure that will be an option.

2 reps told me they aren't even talking about the phone until tomorrow, and there was nothing they could do for me.
