There is no way it is going to be $400, the Bold is only $299 with a 2 year contract and that is their flagship product.
I keep reading this places...and can anyone tell me how that even makes sense? How is the Bold the flagship when it's really just an upgraded Curve, while the Storm is completely new from the ground up, has better specs, more features...just....so damn cool?

the bold is the new flagship BB for AT&T, the javelin (BB 8900) is the updated curve

I understand that it's not an "actual" upgraded curve. My point is that it's really not anything special. What are the differences? Different resolution screen...different keyboard? Slightly different design? Not all that much different from the curve overall. You see what I mean right? The Storm is night and day different from the curve. It's got much better specs and features in comparison to the Bold.
And I don't know why anybody thinks Verizon has to make it cost around the same price as a AT&Ts BB Bold. Verizon can charge a premium because they know that it's much more desirable than the Bold.

What specs are better? The Bold has the fastest processor of any BlackBerry. It also has Wifi and it has triband HSPA, so it can run on any 3G network in the World.
Don't get me wrong the Storm is great, I tested it for 2 months, but it doesn't have the best specs of any BlackBerry.

I think relative to specs that decide if a device is a "flagship product" such as processor speed and having more features (such as wifi), the Bold has the advantage over the Storm. Yes, the Storm has a better resolution camera and screen, but I don't think that is enough to satisfy the power users of a "flagship product".
i read that the screen on the storm is glass. I was just curious as to how you would get the "click" feeling if the screen is glass. anyone care to elaborate on the makeup of the screen?

What did I post? "triband HSPA" I didn't know CDMA fell into that category. No I was talking about any UMTS/HSPA 3G network. Technically, EVDO is 3G it just doesn't have some of the advantages of HSPA. Tha being said, the Bold is definitely the flagship over the Storm for a myriad of reasons. As I said before, the Storm is a great device, but not worthy of that moniker.
well it was my friend's pic...he works for vzw and he played around with...we were gonna post his pic on here showing him playing with it he backed out last minute...so much for that i guess
my store said they were opening at 8am for the release when they normally open at 10
they also said it was $400 for upgrade price w 2 yr contract and a $70 mail in rebate..i forgot to add that before..but i really hope all these articles are true, $99 is much better then $400. specially with this economy falling apart
