Google Maps says "GPS Unavailable"?

If possible , try www.nav4all.com and see if that works. I've never tried it but it if it downloads, it might tell us whether or not the GPS can be accessed or not

So I didnt want to risk ordering online and having the phone not show up until monday or tuesday. Im leaving for a trip on sunday and really wanted the phone for business work while I am gone. So I drove an hour and a half to the closest Verizon to me (I live in the middle of nowhere). I left at 3:15 got to verizon at about 4:45. I was first there but within 15 minutes probably 10 other people were behind me. The verizon store had coffee, donuts, bagels, and balloons.

They said they had 45 phones and 4500 in the warehouse ready to ship. They also said to spread the word that they are willing to move up anyones NE2 as long as they had never had a blackberry before. They were very nice and willing to work with just about anyone who wanted to upgrade.

I got mine and so far I like it. I was trying to load a page on the browser in a poor service area and the phone lagged very bad. I closed the browser and ran through the other apps and the phone was lagging so bad I wanted to throw the POS out of the window. Couldnt have been more disappointed as I really wanted to like this phone. Then once I got back into good service and the page on the browser had finished loading the phone ran great. So my suggestion is anyone who is having problems with the phone lagging check and make sure your browser isnt trying to load a page.

Accelerometer works fine and is speedy.

So I ended up ordering my cradle via Telesales...$22 bucks shipped...not bad...

Thinking about getting a Zagg Shield for the screen...anyone else do this or is planning on doing? Are they worth the somewhat steep price?

ok, so nav4 all installs, but I cna't find the icon...strange. so can't comment on that. flickr won't work for me as it says i need to activate my account on flikr?...perhaps cause i login with y! login....also my location didn't work either, that would be a great feature though

So while I am stuck at work my totally awesome wife has been waiting in line for me.

She has been there since 8:30am (EST) and it's now 12:37!! Their computers have crashed multiple times. They have the phone for her (me) and have all of her information, just went to process the payment...and the computers crash again!!!!!

She has about 2 hours before she needs to leave an get our daughter from the bus...way to suck Verizon!!

nav4all is terrible to navigate on this phone....but yea it gives the same "near" location

and the info is on the MIR form that printed w/your receipt^^

After playing with the browser I dont see any need for Opera. The browser that comes installed is better than what opera was on my 8830.

Just walked into one of our corporate stores and walked up to the sales guy. Asked if they were sold out yet (knowing the answer), and he said Yes however they were getting another shipment in and he could put my name on one. Gave me a voucher (I'm #13) and said they'd call when I could come pick it up.

Not 30 minutes later, a rep calls me and says they got the second shipment in HOWEVER, they wouldn't be ready to pick up until 3pm and to come in after then.

Is this just for loading\inventory reasons or are they maybe doing updates on them?

You need to go into the gps options and turn on gps locator
