Ya I am with ya on that..... nothing can match the iphone! I bet It will be like the botchy LG Dare cr@p. Why do you think there are no video's of this Storm in action... cause it's a laggy, memory hole pig!! Don't buy into the HYPE.
Has anyone else noticed that in Picture 9 the date is October 17th. Strange that these pictures are just surfacing now if the date on the phone is correct.
Also, I think the dock they are referring to is likely the cradle charger rather than the really cool dock we've all been seeing pictures of. Just thought I'd weigh in on the action. First time poster, so go easy on me guys. Been following this one from the beginning ... at least I didn't ask about pricing and availability, right!? : )

Okay, I wont smite thee cuz you didnt ask about wifi, however...if people would read, they would realize that these are old pics.
"The date on on the Storm's display is October 17th - word is there was an International PR event at RIM's headquarters in Waterloo that day, and these pics came from there (we just never saw them when they were first posted at T3's website on the 20th)." -Crackberry
It is just an evaluation unit, notice "not for sale or lease" on the back.
Hey guys! Did not want to post until I heard a new date from at least three contacts. I can confirm that I am hearing the 23rd as a new tentative launch date. All three of my contacts have stated this was due to firmware problems. The delay can probably take blame with both RIM & VZW. VZW wants devices perfect at launch and RIM with their buggy initial firmware have caused this delay. VZW does not want a buggy launch like the iPhone & G1. In the end you will all be happy when you get a solid device in your hands that has been thoroughly tested.
Keep on rocking in the free world! Host pictures for free here.

As much as this saddens me to have to wait longer...I agree, just the mere fact that the Storm could potentially launch with higher success based solely on the fact that it has minimum hiccups unlike the iphone and G1, does bring a glimmer of a smile to my face..

You do know there are actually plenty of videos of the Storm in action right?
Trust me, I once left Verizon for the iPhone. Loved the phone, HATED AT&T service (tons of dropped calls, etc.). Now I'm back to Verizon. I want this phone bad too, but I'll NEVER go back to AT&T.
I STRONGLY SECOND THIS! As I did the same thing. Now I am waiting for the storm.
I was told middle of the month by a Verizon rep the other day. For what it's worth.
i wouldn't complain about how it operates until its actually released. obviously its laggy, thats why we dont have one yet and why the OS version keeps updating, to fix these problems.
I've played with the Storm at the LA Launch party and I can tell you that it doesn't take much effort at all to click the screen.
I was about to say the same. I was also there and it felt fine. I actually liked that part of it. It just had a nice clicking, confirming feeling unlike a lot of other touch screen phones.
