That sounds good and all, but aren't all those phones designed to revolve around the internet? If so, then what's the point of signing up for a 2-year with T-Mobile if T-Mobile 3G will never work on them?

I'd understand Best Buy's actions, however, if they used AT&T, whose 3G network is actually compatible with all 3 Nokias.

NICE! I wonder if a data plan is required to get the E71?

AT&T wouldnt agree to it at this time, T-mobile was more open to the idea

That seems like a pretty good deal. I am surprised BBYM is marking down the phones so much. But I do not believe the E71-2 3G will work on T-Mobile.

    e71 does not have T-Mobile USA's frequency bands for 3G (1700). FAIL.

if the n71 did tmo 3g it would be a steal.

maybe it'll be an incentive for nokia to tmo 3g in future phones

I would love to get this deal! Except, without 3G it's a deal breaker for me. I just know the very instant that I sign the contract, T-Mo will come up with an E71 that includes the correct chip for their 3G band!

I'm very tempted to grab a G1 nd enjoy the 3G speed and interesting OS, but that handset is no where near as good as the E71. Maybe in time (probably not too long) it will be a contender. It's just not for me right now.

Come on Nokia / T-Mo!!! Release this phone with the right radio!!!!

I am now all for this. In the future, when switching to a new T-mobile branded smartphone, you will require you to dump your (soon to be grandfathered) data plans.

I do also hope Nokia will get its act together and add 1,700 mhz, starting with the 5800......yeah right
