Different resolution. Completely different res so it won't play. Also the naming convention and where to place the videos are different so yeah.Originally Posted by inspiring_k

May I ask what media unlock mean?Originally Posted by Axusy

on softbank phones the hypersim will not unlock the camera and music player. You need to further mold the hypersim into a softbank simcard.. or whatever that means
ANA The Launch Customer for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner
media unlock - being able to use the camera, music player, play games, watch videos, etc.
unlike docomo phones, which media is already unlock meaning u can use all the functions
softbank phones need an extra unlocking which is media unlock which makes us need to waste more money T_T
thank you so much for explaining what media unlock is.
I guess I will never be able to save up for the 931sh... the phone itself it already expensive and then all the unlocking...
sigh...
i bought p905i when 906i series were going to come out but it wasn't out so it was really expensive... and i have no idea why i bought 931sh... lol i guess i was attracted by the 3.8" full touchscreen + slide phone function which i like ;D lol and if it was 8.0CCD mp camera its going to be godlike xD (never had a touch screen phone before)
if you don't live near vancouver or those places that does media unlock its better if you just buy docomo phones since u only need hypersim...
Well I do live in Vancouver actually...
I was planning to get 931 as my first Jap phone...
The other one I am thinking about is the N-01A from docomo...
but I havent found a review on it yet...
i used to like the docomo series
but after they came out with the prime style etc. series it just get so complicated... and like its too annoying to research on all of them and stuff but basically sh03a should be the most popular and prob the best phone for docomo 01a series iunno people have their own preferences
personally i like docomo when it only has 1 brand for 1 series like the 905 and 906 series
and if you live in vancouver its no problem then cause there are a lot of places that can unlock media for you like shops in crystal mall etc. well that only applies if your buying a softbank phone.
btw i have a question for softbank users
for the mmf file what kind of quality is it... compare to mp3 anyone got a sample? (better worse?) or is it like the same quality as mp3 but just transferring from mp3 ~> mmf
never really looked into ringtones when i had my p905i... since i never really like the ringtones i just make it go silent
and if possible share the converter program u guys use for video and music please ;D

.mmf files are a lot better then docomo's .mld files and basically .mmf files are from .mp3, but converted
MLD its a pain...and doesnt sound that good, doesnt help that my speaker seems damaged making the mld sound even worse, need my n905iu to test them out.
... seems like docomo is arse for ringtunes.. but softbank is bad for MM unless you have the unlock.... tough for new users to pick!
Tough? More like confusingcan't wait for that 923SH though, .mmf ringtones, AKA Good Quality

mp4 ringtones on softbank...even better quality
MP3 ringtones on SoftBank phones, Best Quality![]()
