uh...no. the MTR is all wired with GSM+EDGE+UMTS+HSDPA+HSPA underground....
Pretty much yea... however, I found '3' network to be a bit shady at times. PCCW and Smartone are more stable... but PCCW uses GPRS instead of EDGE, which sucks...
What kind of ringtones does the 931SH accept?I tried to add some of the MMF ringtones i had on my 904SH(ringtones converted by me with Wavesound decorator and Audacity, with MA7 setting)but they dont even play on the 931 .Please help me with this and a video converter to convert some videos for it.Thanks!!!
i have some questions about the 931sh phone. i currently own this phone (bought it the day it came out in japan), and live in japan, but is going to be leaving the country soon
i want to ask if anyone knows where i can go to unlock this phone so that i can use this phone in say, canada (vancouver where i'm going back to) or hk, or other places of asia? i know the phone uses a USIM card, and canada has this card now, but how about hk? (yamanote, maybe you have some in sight on this)
maybe some place in tokyo will have it? akihabira???
hy i am from romania..i have a phone like this..and i cant unlock it..how can i do it?a furious sim can work on it?to fully work in cosmote network romania? if yes how much is costs?thanks..bye..
i would think it should be stable in hk? yamanote is using a 931sh in hk, although I dont know if he uses the mtr, and he drives his soccer mom mobile
Wow, just saw this post. Two year old post, yes, but going to reply anyways
931SH was no different from any other SoftBank keitai with the new single-SIM mm lock. Stable-ish- they do go OUT randomly at times but is mostly OK. MTR was fine, strong signal most of the time and only regularly went out when crossing the harbor (I'm guessing there was a tower handover it couldn't handle)
No more soccer mom mobile

A regular hypersim should work fine. You'll be unable to use multimedia functions like the camera and a/v players though, it'll only work as a call/SMS phone.
