I've been wanting to give Symbian a try for the longest. Windows Mobile is a resourse-hungry OS. A device needs a 400 MHz processor with at least 128 MB of RAM to run as it was intended. Any other OS would move at lightspeed at specs like that. Still, I personally like it but it's the first OS I've truly hand some hands-on time with so far so I have yet to really get my feet wet, so to speak.
or there is always Blackberry though personally im not a fan though i like the pearl flip its size is awesome
For att it made since to require the unlimited net since payper use charges can add up quickly so for tmobile 2 require it it doesnt make sense imo. I was disappointed to hear of the requirement cuz I dont live in a 3g area & rarely use the net & atleast 1 wifi signal is around when needed. From what I read you have to sync with google 2 use/activate the cell. I dont really care & even use activesync as it is. The design is ok except for the keyboard. The chin gets in the way & the keys are 2 low as mentioned in other threads. My wing will do for now.
Look at the reviews and played with the G1. Not impressed. From what I am seeing and reading about the Blackberry Storm, that may be the phone to get. T-Mobile takes to long to get a new product out, and then it does not support the product or even have it available.
Check out the Storm as that seems to be way ahead of the G1. MHO
My husband and I both upgraded to the G1 from our Dashes and we love the G1. The fact that it is open source provides limitless opportunities for developers. The OS runs so smoothly, no lag. The camera hardware itself is nice with an autofocus lens rather than a fixed-focus, but it needs a developer to come up with better camera app for it to reach its potential; as it is now, images are dark and you must have a steady hand. That said, a camera is secondary to me.
What really rocks is how integrated the Google services are. Click a contact's address and the map comes up with the address ready for you. The browser and other online services run well even on Edge. We don't have G3 network in our area, so we disabled searching for G3 networks in order to save on battery.
The battery is not great, but no phone with 3G and GPS enabled has wonderful battery life. That's the one thing that disappoints us, the battery life.
lol...let me get this straight...you and your "husband" had matching dashes (or is it dashi...?). now you have matching G1s...???
news flash lady...your "husband" is ghey....
My girlfriend and i had iphones that matched too it was ironice thoughbecause we met and we both had them at the same time both had black cases with ketai straps the irony... now i have no iphone and she does...
I'm still waiting on them business apps (word processor and spreadsheet).
Google Docs is available with these. The trend in technology is "the cloud", where apps are hosted online rather than installed on your computers and phones. Google Docs is MS Office compatible. It's free, too.

Well, I've been with the dude for 17 years now and I can assure you that's not the case. Rrrrrrrow, I'm a happy lady. He's a programmer who makes good coin and we're both into technology. We're diggin' our phones.
No matching outfits or anything like that. That would be gay. And we won't get matching skins.
