Overview
The Motorola Tundra can be used as a modem to connect to the Internet on a laptop computer via USB and Bluetooth.
* Universal Serial Bus (USB) is a wired connection type. This connection type creates a physical connection between the tethered handset and computer and is the fastest method of using a handset as a modem.
* Bluetooth is a short-range wireless data transmission standard. This connection type allows for the computer and the tethered handset to be up to 30 ft and still function. A more detailed description of Bluetooth can be found here.
Prerequisite
An AT&T LaptopConnect rate plan. For assistance with rate plans please contact Customer Care.
Procedure
1. Verify that the device indicates that wireless data service is available. If it does not, troubleshoot data service availability.

I will peruse at the site whose URL is listed below. I did also note the disclaimer above "Some differences may exist for devices not purchased from AT&T." I guess that begs more questions in my mind than it answers.
What has that got to do with ringtunes? I'm subscribed to this thread to find out once something has been figured to get personal ringtunes on tundra's where that's been locked out (IE: rogers). It's nice that you can connect to the internet through your cell... Make a new thread.
Have found a solution... Simple. I have had the same problem with my phone and searched and searched , bbut no answers. Complained to Rogers about them doing this to public because 4 some of us we have the motorola software to work with our phones.
Here is the solution. Take your ringtone that you want and have it saved to your computer. Then go to this website: http://www.ventones.com/ Now for Rogers or Fido users you will have to make sure that you click on the very last box and also have to have a data plan 4 your phone. Because it needs to be sent there from the place. I tried it the other way and by saving it to my computer and then transferring the ringtone to the phone and the option did come up as apply to ringtone but it was blacked out I would imagine by the cellphone provider still. So I decided to send it to my phone ( absolutely free) except 4 data charges and a email account. It worked. So first go to the website and register. Then upload your ringtone to create a new ringtone. Check the box for Fido and Rogers users. Then hit send. Reply to the e-mail by spelling read. Then another text will come with an internet shortcut to the download. Download as soon as the download finishes that .dcf will appear at the end of your MP3 ringtone. Cost me one dollar for a data package for 1 day since I don't use it and I just went nuts downloading. And I did have to say yes to rogers email account. Whoopy doo!!! I can cancel tomorrow.
Zedge.net is a good place to get ringtones . Also this site has downloads too but haven't went through any of them. I was offered an I-phone about 6 mos. ago and refused because I love this phone and now I can get any ringtone I want and so can all of you. Do some research on ventones before you register. I did. Seemed to good to be true. But what I read people were really happy with it. This thread is closed.
