Unhappy z750a debrand help/SE update service

    hi, all .

I'm a newbee and need help.

I've got new z750a (AT&T, prepaid) and I've tried debrand it.
I'm going to use davinci team program and already bought credits.

I heard that their signed driver didn't work , so I used SE's update service and updated my z750a.

After this, when I connet this phone to my PC follow the instruction
of USB Flash Drivers, PC doesn't detect it, always connect as
"mass storage mode". I set other mode (Phone mode etc.),
    but it doesn't work.

I mailed SE customer service about this, they answered like this.

"In order to do the Sony Ericsson Update Service “turn off the phone, remove battery, put the battery, leave the phone in OFF mode, press the "C" key, and connect cable to the PC without releasing the “C” and you have to wait until the update service program will tell you to release it. You might have to do this steps couple of times, while this process its done make sure to have any security system disable just in case they’re blocking USB data cable."

Then I follow this message and tried to several times.
    But situation has not changed.

I read forums, but I couldn't find the answer.
    (Maybe I can't find it.)
    Anyone help me, pleeeze!!

    Hello, nugie77.
    Sorry for late response .

I hope my English make sense .

After update z750 through SEUS, my phone wasn't detected
but PC ring the sound like when you connect other devices.
After that, it takes 3-4 minutes?, phone was connected as "mass storage mode".

    Your situation is same?
    My case was like this.

After ring the sound, open the folder of USB flash driver and double click "DPInst" file.
So USB flash driver is installed.

    Then follow the manual.
    1. run the client...etc.

In my case, this process after run the client took about 11 minutes.

if you have any question, let me know !
    Good luck.

Was the Z750a unlocked before debranding?

Mine was unlocked before Davinci debranding and upon connecting SE Ericsson Suite, it offer the option of phone mode, mass storage/usb mode and media transfer mode with the phone turned on.

SEUS should display the current firmware version on the phone when you established a connection.

My reason was that I could read Japanese (I'm Japanese) on my z750a.
this phone is 3G, so I can use this in US and Japan, and I don't need change phone when I stay in Japan.

    Ericsson USB Phone mode

This might be a simple suggestion but just to make the point. I have a Sony Ericsson w760a, and had some initial connection problems. Make sure the phone is in USB "phone mode" and not in "media transfer mode". Go to settings-> connectivity -> USB. For my phone you can select a feature to give you a menu to select from when you first connect with USB. Thats what I selected. Now I can finally select phone mode and get my stuff downloaded (slowly because it is a very slow at downloading).
