Something tells me you want VM Canada. This is VM USA.

re tether a virgin mobile phone

oki i have some new information
    run qpst service programming
    go to the menu M.IP
change the field Mobile IP Behavior to Mob + Simp f / back
    write to the phone
create a new ppp connection in windows
    number to dial #777
    username leave blank
    password leave blank

at the moment i only can access to virgin mobile's sites

next step is to find a way to spoof your phone at virgin mobile
i need to find a proxy server at virgin mobile to connect my internet explorer through or to find a way virgin mobile think its my phone connected instead of my computer

    to be continue.......

    hey man.
    i have a big problem
    please help. i'm going insane.

Earlier Today in an attempt to tether my lg lx260 on virgin mobile canada to my computer, I used QPST's Service Programming Menu and in the M. IP menu one of the tutorials on here said to change your Mobile IP Behaviour to MobIP+ simp f/back.

It didn't work after writing this to the phone. So i loaded it up again and changed it back to the origianl setting and wrote that to the phone.

Now, My phone is kinda weird. I can do everything I was able to do before, I get a signal, can send/receive texts, can use the mobile interent, but I cannot place calls. If I call my cell phone from my home phone it rings, I can pick up and talk, but when i try to place an outgoing call from my cell, it just hangs on the dialing screen for a while then says after about 30 seconds, "signal faded, call lost"

ya know theres this really awesome thing called a search button. if you used it you might wait, no you WILL find that there have been other threads about this.

and since im sure you wont do it anyways, i did it for you, and whats the verdict!... YOU CANT TETHER A VIRGIN PHONE. REPEAT CANNOT TETHER A VIRGIN PHONE.

god why is it people cant use common sense, search then ask. Hell when in doubt, call customer service.

Can someone tell me the Virgin mobile CANADA's NAI usernames and password? (you can take it from a EVDO phone such as Krzr k1m)

And yes you can tether any EVDO based phone. while 1x phones can connect socketless/IP less (proxy only), with EVDO, it must connect and receive an IP (its in the EVDO specifications)

The original message intent is if a 'tethering hack' can be done.

Now we just need to figure out the NAI username, then the password, hope it is more simpler than Bell's MD5 32 byte hash. (Like Telus/Koodo is simpler)

    TIA
25GB Cap? DIY Telnus prepaid/Koodo unlimited EVDO internet (for $10 per 2 months, to keep account "Active"), Max 3Mbps download speed, if you roam on Bell (free), then you get non-NATed IP

only problem is that the only people who HAVE that info...is VIRGIN. And they dont give it out.

I know i know its common sense and soooo hard to figure out.

On some phone models you can extract it with qpst/ram dump/efs dump.
