If the overage is capped at like $75, then I would save money in the long run as the savings of $20 a month would pay for the one month a year I go over.

    Thanks,
I asked about the cap and she said it was a maximum $100. I tried to get more information from the data rep and mentioned the $75 ($100-$25 data from pack) but I didn't get anywhere with that; she kinda lost me.

called through and inquired about the $30 plan and she said that the 33.3% is discounted off the Value pack which Im sure it probably wont be but I went ahead with the change and asked her to fully document on my account so we will see come bill time if I am charged for it or not, If I do I will just include that in my list of credits to be added from there screw ups each month

i've got a question that i'm sure lots of retention plan customers have.

    iPhone 3G
    currently my plan is:
    $20
    250mins
    unlimited eve/weekends
    $30
    6gb data plan
    $15
    VVM Plan

    Credits
    $15 credit
    $10 text messaging credit
    $7(or5?) caller id credit

    total is $35+SAF+911+tax

if i cancel my VVM/data plan($45 with $30 in credits) and get the $30 iphone VP will my credits dissapear? or will my credits remain and esentially i'll get data/vm/txt/callid for free any pay $20 a month +SAF+911+tax?

    I called at lunch, I couldn't wait.
I had half an hour or so, so I was like, heck might as well call now.
Call literally lasted 7:32. I tried to screenshot but it went away when I decided to. Talk about FAST service! I was on hold for like a minute, then when the guy changed it he put me on hold for 2 more minutes (because he had to read about it first since he probably didn't work yesterday and it was his first call about it today)
Talk about AMAZING service today! And he told me it was in effect right away (I even got a new Voicemail txt from Rogers)
ONE question that I didn't ask him since I forgot. Will they bill me the 30-6Gb/15-VVM in addition to this? My billing cycle ends on the 11th of each month, so I'm not sure what I'm gonna get billed .
Anyone have an answer for me?

    NOTE:
If you have the Unlimited on-device mobile browsing, switch to this plan on a day that you have not used data on that plan.

I switched yesterday and I started using the Internet APN right after the switch and I got a lovely text today saying I have incurred over $25 in data charges.
Everything was credited but it because I surf on both plans on the same day.

I know this may have been asked before, but has anyone incurred charges for using a non bb device on the bb plan?

You will be charged a pro-rated charge (from billing cycle start to date of change) for the 6GB and a pro-rated charge for the value pack (from date of change to end of billing cycle).

I called two reps yesterday that comfirmed with two different Data reps that you can have the VP30BB500 (BIS 500MB) plan and use a Smart Phone with no extra charges, but you can NOT use a BB on the VP30WM500 (Smart Phone 500MB) plan.

To add the BB plan, you must have used or registered a BB with Rogers in the past. They can not add/attach it unless the Billing Systems has seen a BB on your account.

So for now I'm stuck with the WM Value Pack instead of the BIS Value Pack untill I get or borrow a BB.

So with the $30 plan, is there that 33.3% value package discount? I keep hearing yes and no. Which one is it? That or the $10 discount would probably persuade me to drop the 6gb plan in favor of this. I'll just start using wifi more to ensure i dont go over.

I think you better should keep it as is, because those credits will disappear if you remove/change to different pack...

    $10 text messaging credit
    $7(or5?) caller id credit
These credits for sure will disappear if you remove it...

$15 credit ... which include $5 credit for early 6PM (this will stay)... other $10 credit might apply for your 6GB/VVM Plan will disappear if you replace/change to something else...

Just call retention and they will tell you...

So I just called Rogers and did the switch. I was some how transfered into the French queue. The CSR at first didn't know what I was talking about, then mentioned he was off work for 3.5 months, then he found it and then added it. But then went on to tell me that I had to pay the DECF. I argued that I didn't have to cause a "friend" called in yesterday and didn't pay either. Then mentioned that since I am signing a contract for this new VP, it should pretty much void the other one. He agreed with me and even mentioned that he wasn't going to argue my statement and said he would apply a credit on my account of $99 to void out the cancelation fee.

I get so nervous now when I call in. During the summer I did a plan change with rententions and the guy lied to me in terms of what he was adding onto my account, etc, etc, etc. The following month I had a bill of over $1000 in overages. I called in, spoke with someone, got it all resolved, but I was on the phone for over an hr, something I wish not to do when I call to speak to a customer service department.

I just checked now and my account profile online shows it all good now. Funny, it doesn't show CID as part of my additional services, but I have it. Just called myself. Hmmm

Just called in and retention dept. gave me the 10$ credit without problem. He was well aware of the credit. I just got a bold with email and IM plan for 199$(couldn't go lower ) and with my other line an e71 for 99$ with the 30$VP. i think its a nice deal since I already upgraded this year on both line hehe.

i also spoke with the data dept and they were aware of the credit too but they told me i must change my voice plan for a current one so I decided to go back with the retention dept.

I called 3 reps today and went to three rogers stores. No one knows about this.

So now that i have the code, VP30WM500 do I just call wireless billing again? or account changes department. I signed up on 3 year with htc touch on Nov 3. I got 50 in credit on my account for a screwed up port request so my first bill endin dec 3 is 12.xx. If I switch to this do I lose the credits? I am a student on the my10 pack + 25 dollar 500 MB + 15-$5 smartphone pack. So ideally I was hoping on going to the 10 dollar mega plan that we have here in winnipeg and the 30 dollar wm 500 MB value pack. Do i still get $5 off per month if I switch. If i do get the $10 dollar credit, it would be 10 dollars voice and 20$ data, which is below 35$ bucks, so does that mean I can't get the cheapest promo pricing when I switch to the e71 or touch diamond?
