Are you getting emails and BB msgs? Because the BB package has BIS access, so you may want to be careful
I don't use bb email but I have gmail push (imap) and it pushes fine to my BB. BB msgs also works albeit trying it over 2months ago (don't really use it).
I have the 6gb BB data package so maybe that's why my BIS seems to be working fine (I also get BB service msg's when I re-register service books).
If I go with the 500MB data plan as opposed to the unlimited Email/IM plan, will any email or IM I do count against my 500MB pool or will there be other charges associated with this usage?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if this is the case. As long as I don't use 500MB of email/messaging in a given billing cycle then I would be better off with the 500MB data plan because I'll be able to surf the web as well.
I'm assuming both plans are $20 but I think there is still some confusion out there regarding this.
damn i am so lucky i happened to call when i did yesterday because I would have been mad if I didn't get the package for $30 with the $10 credit to make it $20.
Im not trying to rub it in your faces, but luck seems to be finding me more often then not in the past 2 weeks
I have a feeling the rep gave the $10 credits on the $30 VP500 in error and now they shut the door. I wanted to sleep on the offer before jumping in but too bad the new VP with the -$10 would have saved me $20. I on the fence to save $10 on my existing VP only and lose my 6GB.... Yes, rub it in our faces.
Just spoke to relations (retentions). The lady told me that only certain accounts could add the $20.00 value package. She initially told me that there was no such plan...
Obviously that is the case. I have currently been a customer for three years and pay them $300/month... She could not even offer me any plans or options. All options (6pm calling) required me to pay more money...
Maybe I just got a bad rep???

I will call them again tomorrow.
You're paying $300 a month and they won't give you anything?....
No, combined accounts... (TV internet, cell)
Cell amount is 45-50$...
Just the fact that they would offer me nothing as well as not knowing about a popular value plan when they were supposedly customer relations puzzles me...
I did post in the iphone section, but I'll see if I can get some help here. Are these "new" value packs on the website, or do you have to call in about them? I have a first gen iphone, and was wondering if any of these plans would be applicable to me and if so, which one. The phone Rogers has on account for me is a Nokia of some sort(long story) but they let me have the regular $15 value pack, so would this one be a problem. Would it help if I told them that I occasionally switch my sim between phones?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
I don't know if this has been explained yet but do I lose VVM with this value pack? I had it set up today and am lacking VVM but wasn't sure if maybe the CSR just didn't put on an iPhone specific version of this plan (I'm referring to the $30 one).
VVM is included on the iphone specific VP, if it is not working for you, then the rep probably put you on the wrong one (BB/WM) so call in and get it changed.
Are you guys who are getting the credit speaking to data or regular CS reps? I'm trying to maximise my chances for that credit!
I've spoken to one regular CS rep last night, who was trying to give me the credit, but it wouldn't go through because "..it's for new activations only" . Today I called back and went straight to a data rep, who didn't know the plan even existed (I basically had to say "I'll hold while you double check" in a much nicer tone than the words imply , after she told me they only had the Email/IM VP plans available), but once she found out she told me there's no credit.
Now to call again...third times a charm? Let's hope so!
Yeh...i spoke to someone in data, someone in regular CSR and someone in retentions and they all said there's no credit for this plan except that 33% off the addition of another essential. How are you guys getting the $10 credit? I need it too!!
I'm just waiting for all those accounts to receive audits and for multiple reps to receive "coaching opportunities". These $10 MSF credits are only to be given by retentions and not regular CSRs...only time will tell though.
