Do you think that if I called in with my friend and got them to open up my friends account who has the 500mb bb messaging plan for 30 bucks - 10 credit, that they would be willing to do the same for me?
Now, THAT one could be dangerous...if you get a rep, that has been told the promo is not valid, they may just as likely remove it from your friends account as they would add it onto yours....given the confusion over this credit, my way of thinking is that if you have it, you do not draw attention to it.
I have the 17.50 EPP with the 30 BB Value pack. I also have a 15 dollar monthly misc. credit on my account that is good for 3 years. Do you think it would be greedy to ask for the 10 valuepack credit? Would my account get flagged or anything? Im fine with what im paying now but just curious i guess.

Just keep calling back every few days and asking the rep nicely if they can add it. It only took a few tries for me to get it.
i got my bill, and totally got gypped, with no $10 credit off the $30 data value plan. When i spoke to the rep who did the change for me, i asked her specifically that it is $30 data plan minus $10 credit = $20 for it, she was like, yes it is. And then i asked her wat the breakdown of my bill would look like, she was like it will be $40 dollars ($20 dollars for the voice plan + $20 for the data plan, plus a bunch of other credits INCLUDING the $10 credit on the data plan) plus SAF and 911, which should be like 47 something. So After tax it should be 53 something. Well my bill came as 65 something.
Where should i call to to talk about this issue? will they give me backt hat $10 credit that i was offered for?
My business account manager had a look at the "library" and clarified the offers to me. Apparently there are 2 value packs:
** The one with the EMAIL-Only option is $30 less 33% = $20
** The one with the 500 MB data option is $30 and NO DISCOUNT
This is the official information from the Rogers library.
That being said, some reps are misinformed and have been giving the 500 MB option with a discount. However, the system will reject this and this is why some of you are not seeing the $10 discount after it was promised.
On the very rare occasion you will run into a rep who is misinformed, will give you the $10 discount, and will personally manually enter in a recurring credit since the system will not allow the automatic credit. Count yourself as lucky if you ran into this rep.
i just got theLD option a couple weeks ago. hi had to speak to retentions. I called in because my previous bill had around $50 in long distance charges. I already had the free 100 canadian long distance minutes, and i told them that i was under the impression it was 1000 not 100. they said they could give me 1000 minutes for $5.
