N82: orange light is on when taking pics w/o flash on

    hi,
my N82 seems to have a problem taking pictures w/o the flash on, the orange light that comes on right before a picture is taken stays on, giving my pictures an orange light. here's some comparison shots w/ an N82 that works and my N82:
    my messed up N82

    a working N82

any ideas what i can do? i already tried re-loading the firmware, no luck.

i would suggest you either hard reset your phone or run a software upgrade/reinstall firmware. good luck

turn off your phone. press and hold * + 3 + talk button and turn on the phone. do not let go of those 3 keys until the phone loads and asks you to choose your country.
let me know how that goes

Does the orange/red LED turn off when the N82 has finished auto focussing?

It blinks quickly when capturing the photo after but the camera software compensates for the tint of red/orange

Tried this, no luck. interestingly though, i thought this would get me back down to the original out-of-the-box firmware. it is still at v30.0.19 which is what NSU had given me. is there any way to get the original out of the box firmware?

yes, it does. it auto-focuses, then the orange light goes away, but when you take a picture the orange flashes (which it normally does) but either it flashes too late or is flashing too long, because when you look at the captured photo the orange light appears.
