How is not having 3G a fail? I think as long as it has Wi-Fi, good enough for me

Nice, this should make a lot of peeps very happy!
I still prefer my Bold personally, but I know many have been anticipating the 8900, thinking the Bold is slightly too big for them and/or preferring the buttons on the Curve series phones.

The non 3G means the battery will be much better and that the network won't crap out on it!

Okay, I'm overexaggerating, the Javelin is VERY SLICK, but considering everything that's coming out nowadays is 3G my question is - why go back to EDGE?

In terms of implementing 3G, the price premium couldn't be that high.

I think it may be a case that RIM doesn't want to cannibalize the Bold sales.. what do all of you guys think?

I agree. If they made this device 3G I don't think anyone including myself would buy a bold. Now having said that, I think that by about the 2nd Q there will be a 8900 like device with 3G that will replace the bold.

True as it may be the case of what your opportunity cost is.. do you want performance/speed or extended battery life and network stability?

I'm noticing that my iPhone doesn't pick up calls for some reason. Odd. lol

Agree...if RIM puts 3G on Curve, it would just cannibalize the sales of Bold. I prefer Curve cause it isn't fat(or wide) like the bold

I'd like to hear how the Bold people compare it.

    3G -- If only I didn't tether.
