I agree. I don't know how ppl think that the keyboard is any better on the 8900 especially when they haven't even tried it.
Pretty sure it's because the all the keys on the Bold basically touch each other whereas the Curve/Javelin have spaces between the keys. The spaces between the keys help from pressing two keys at once.

Well i hardly think thats a fair argument because more goes into a keyboard than just spacing as im sure you are aware of. but theres also personal preference as well.
I called today and asked about the 8900, javelin, and new curve and all I was told that there is no 8900 on Rogers and the "new" curve is the 8320 they just released. The CSR had no idea what I was talking about or at least made it seem that way for now.
Any updates on the release of this phone would be greatly appreciated. I ordered the 8320 (which is still on backorder) 2 weeks ago but if the 8900 releases in December Ill be exchanging the curve for it.

It makes me laugh when people like you are so sure, and that you are wrong. I got confirmation from HQ that in fact the devices are being delivered to Rogers as we speak. Trust me, my source is never wrong.
Bold keyboard is amazing, you don't really press two keys by accident or anything like that, that's just either speculation from someone who hasn't used the phone or a person with really HUGE fingers...and 3G is a must these days, even on BB "compressed" data...there IS a difference compared to EDGE BB's.

WOW did you even call Rogers before you decided to post that? The 8900 is very real my friend, and its coming to Rogers in less than a week!
Please people, all I ask is: if you're going to make comments about products/services w/ Rogers actually know what you are taking about. Be informed, or else you end up looking silly and making everyone snicker at you for being so public about how misinformed you are.
Unless you are tethering is 3G really necessary? And the browser on the Bold athough it is an improvement it still very much sucks so on device browsing is still a waste of effort, as far as messaging goes yes it would be nice to send a pic a faster or download one faster but as far as 3G being a must on a Blackberry I say no.

I might be in the minority here but I find myself using data (emails, GPS etc...) and voice simultaneously a lot on my Bold and I can only do that while on 3G. For me, that's a deal breaker for the 8900 but like I said I may be in the minority on this.

If you can use 3G and voice at the same time, that's definitely a bonus...not possible on non-3G BBs.
Regardless...I've never had a problem with BB Edge speeds...expect maybe slightly when scrolling quickly through Google Maps...but even then.
can anyone comment vis-a-vis the voice quality and reception on the blackberries (i guess the curve/bold would be a good comparison - as there is no rogers 8900 out as of yet) compared to the krzr (that I am currently using - and quite happy with the reception capabilities - even though it cannot hold a call in the elevator (as advertised on the rogers commercial!!))
