So is it worth holding out for the 8900 to be released, or should I just go with the Bold now? I like the smaller size of the 8900, but the Bold does have 3G.. and is available.
i agree with dasjot, i like the smaller size of 8900, but should i make the 3g sacrifice? especially since ill have the phone for 3 years. cant wait to get my first blackberry! i'll be patient Eluder
The 3G issue comes up a lot here, but I'm wondering how much faster a BlackBerry with 3G is than one with Edge.
I mean the Blackberry server compression is top notch, so I've always found Edge to better on the BB than other phones I've tried. I suppose if you're on streaming radio/video all day it helps.

Thoughts?
personally I use my curve 90% of the time for email/txt/BIM, 10% browsing.. 3G isnt a big deal for me, who cares if my emails are downloaded 0.0005 seconds faster
I'm new to the Blackberry scene, how does the gps work, is it a pay per month thing or is it free like on the Iphone. Also if I wanted to cancel the data and just use wifi would I just pay the $100 ecf and the rest of my plan remain unchanged? (credits, value packs, etc)
Cheers!
I Spoke To Several Cust. Service Reps W/ Rogers Over The Weekend And Have Confirmed That The 8900 Is On Their System. Over The Weekend They Couldn't Tell Me When It Was Avail., But I Called In Today And Apparently They Have Announced That Monday Dec.8th Is The Release Date. Post Above This One Has The Same Date Too. Anyone Else Getting The Same Answer From Any Rogers Reps?
Nice lady from Retentions said Monday (8th) to me as well... But also hinted that I could try my luck on Friday as "the system should be up and running" by then...
