Hey guys, new member here saying hello.
After dealing with this for two days, I finally created a plugin that can sync Address Book and iCal just perfect with the Razr2 V9x on my mac. A few mac members on this forum are looking for this, which by the way works with any of the V9 series. I have a V9x from AT&T if that matters. Anywhere I can send this iSync plugin for the rest of the members to download, I' so happy I got to work and would like to share it. By the way, also have the plugin for the Z9 model, that syncs contacts and iCal too.
I did it on OSX 10.5.5 and iSync 3.0.2, you have the 9M right? Go to iSync and in preferences click on reset iSync history, delete the phone form iSync, quit iSync, add the phone again and try.
Does this solution work with 10.4.11 and iSync 2.4?
I've tried downloading and added the MOTOV9.phoneplugin folder (as well as the various included .plist files) as Plug-ins via the iSync Info window. Am I setting this up wrong?
Please don't tell me I have to upgrade to Leopard to make this work...
jsurpless, you have to pair the phone first in the Bluetooth preferences, otherwise iSync will never see it, make sure you have the plugin in the right folder,
on the iSync app, control click and select "show package content", inside you'll find
"content/Plugins/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice/content/Plugins, drag it to the second Plugins folder, that's where it should go.
a_t_swampends, drag it directly to the folder I mentioned above, not by installing through the info window, make sure you remove the phone from iSync, quit it, drag the plugin to the appropriate folder, open iSync, go to preferences and reset sync history, then add the phone and try. Make sure the phone is paired through Bluetooth preferences first, otherwise iSync will never see it.
For the curious, Leopard changed communications protocols it might not work with earlier versions, but then it might.
I'll have to say, all this worked for me, try it at your own risk, make sure you guys back up iSync application itself to a separate folder just in case you have to start all over again.
Thanks for pointing out my error... I should have mentioned that I was placing it in the ~/Library/Phoneplugins directory... I placed it where you said and iSync works fine...
Unfortunately, though - while I was able to pair my phone (as before), it's still not detecting the services... one thing that may be worth mentioning is that I don't have a 'content' directory in iSync - it's 'Contents'
Genuino -
I used your Z9 plugin, and for the most part it works for both contacts and calendar. However, the "mobile" phone number field of my addressbook doesn't sync to the "mobile" phone number field of the phone; instead, it places the "mobile" addressbook phone number in the "other" phone number field of the phone. My V3xx didn't have this problem, so I surmise that it must be something in the newly written code.
Please help.
I have a V9M for Verizon
I am running 10.5.4 and isync 3.0.2
I also could not get it to connect.
It just states that "this device is not supported by iSync"
Just to make sure I followed the directions:
-i downloaded the plugin from http://www.mangiaregenuino.com/imag...phoneplugin.zip
-I placed it in the folded specified (content/Plugins/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice/content/Plugins) i jsut dropped it in this file. It is not in a folder or anything though. So it just looks like a Lego next to a bunch of file folders.
-I reset my sync history
-I restarted everything
-I added my phone through bluetooth and am able to transfer files when I brows the device, but iSync still does not recognize it
As the subject line says, I need to download the V9x plugin for iSync, but the link posted in an earlier message in this thread errors out as forbidden. Can someone help me please?
