Having recently moved my office, my VZN/Motorola Q now gets 1-2 bars inside the new building. I'm bewildered by the array of external antennas/boosters, etc. I've seen searching here and elsewhere.

Has anyone had actual experience with any of these devices to actually improve reception inside a building? I want if at all possible to avoid a cable connected to my phone.
