I gotta say though that my MOTOSLVR L7 was a really solid phone, took quite a beating, not like my 8100 Pearl that ejects the battery and SIM card when dropped O_O

My favorite Moto is the Red RAZR V3xx that I am currently using on AT&T's network. I've had it for two weeks so far, and it has only switched from a 3G signal to an EDGE signal once during that time.

Have only had two and my current Moto W385 is a trustworthy, excellent non-smart phone.

Mine was the Z3. Had that thing modded just the way I wanted with custom MP and everything. Then some f-ing crackhead had to break in and steal it. Well I got me another one off eBay. As soon as I fing that MP I used and get a new shell good as new.

The E815 was the best in it's day, amazing reception, outstanding battery life, and bragging rights to all my Verizon friends that my phone didn't have Verizon's hideous menu system.

That said, other Motos have surpassed the E815 in terms of screen quality, camera quality, durability, and surprising enough, sound quality.

Of the recent phones, the V9m and MAXX are my favorites. The MAXX is built like a tank and has an awesome feature set unmatched by any other phone. The V9m is the ultimate in style, and with the generic Motorola interface, the customization options are limitless.
A phone is only fun when you can modify it anyway you please.

The Verizon UI....unhackable? I think not

I was (still am) in love with my E816 that I got from AMPD, and later ran on PagePlus - until those ... ...never mind, let me just say that the Big "V" lost a lot of stature in my eyes when they arbitrarily kicked all (that they could find, anyway) of the E816's off their network.

I have moved on, and I now have a XV6700 and am very pleased with it - but would like to upgrade operating system and find some additional programming for it. Anyone got any ideas?

For me it was my RAZR V3 (GOPhone). It was a little too expensive for me so I went to Tracfone. The W376g that I have is decent enough...similar to a RAZR but with plastic and more memory. A great phone for 30 bucks!
